The location was ideal — tucked away in the woods for a peaceful retreat, yet still close enough to downtown Sacramento, where we had plans for the weekend.The cabin itself has a cozy, rustic charm with impressive modern updates throughout. « This is our second time staying at Jane’s cabin. It’s homey, the beds are comfortable and it has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There’s a grocery store nearby and only 50 minutes to Kirkwood. We will definitely be back! »

« The heater did not work so house was freezing. Fireplace did not appear to be working, and wood was wet and did not burn. Bed was not comfortable. Hot tub was gross and did not work. Sauna did not get hot. The pictures looked better than the actual experience. »

« Overall the stay was nice! The house is nicely decorated and kitchen fully stocked. Modern furniture and nicely upgraded appliances in the kitchen.It was convenient drive to Bear Valley and sledding parks about 25min away. Bedroom windows have only light filtering blinds which face the sunrise side, blackout curtains over the blinds would be a great addition for a good nice sleep on vacation. Master bedroom doesn't have a heat vent in the room, so it takes some time to get that room warmed up. »
