'The cottage was clean, cozy, and much larger than I expected! It was in a fairly out of the way location (but not far at all from Oban) that was great for avoiding city traffic. Our host Maureen was very nice and friendly and If/when we travel back to Scotland, and plan on visiting Oban, we would happily stay here again.'

Not quite as homely as we would have hoped as the cottage is quite sparse, but still had a wonderful time. Great to be able to access the canal and take a nice long walk to Neptune’s staircase from the cottage!'

'We spent one week in Strathlorn and started our first day in glorious sunshine. We made the most of it and did a long walk on the isle with a stop at the heritage centre: lots of history and homemade onion soup! Also we made good use of the ferry to Port Appin, the shop is closer than the one on Lismore and it's a good excuse to have tea and scones at the Pier House. There are nice strolls just from the doorstep, one gets you very near Castle Stalker (very romantic, especially in the rain). We...
