Shore to Please is a charming family-friendly home by the sea that can accommodate up to 7 guests. This fun year-round retreat guarantees a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the touristy east end of the island. With beach access just one minute away, you can hop on the available golf cart rental ($50 per stay) for a quick and easy ride to the sand and surf. Experience this beautifully landscaped, 100% fully furnished rental, with each room thoughtfully themed for your island oasis getaway.

This vacation home includes dishes, utensils, glassware, two grills, two refrigerators, Keurig coffee maker, bottled water and plenty of outdoor seating for everyone. The elevator is especially helpful for luggage, coolers, or groceries. Plus, an outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse off after a fun-filled beach day. A beach house isn’t complete without a full-sized washer and dryer, and this one also features a garage to store motorcycles or family bicycles during your stay.

Envision yourself in a rocking chair or porch swing overlooking the balcony enjoying an ice cold beverage and year-round sea breeze after a day of fishing. Did we mention the private boat ramp and fishing pier? FYI, some of the best fishing on the Island is found on the west side! The included empty lots on either side of the property maximize privacy and space for family activities and yard games that are sure to be a good time. The home also backs up to a peaceful nature preserve.

Access tip: On the way to Galveston Island, traffic can back up dramatically on 45 South during peak times; however our property is ideally located approximately the same travel time on 288 South as it is from 45 South if you are travelling from Downtown Houston.

The weather was perfect, so being able to sit outside on the deck was fabulous. I had one guest that had some mobility issues, so the elevator in the back was a great addition. The host was responsive to all of our messaging in a reasonable time.

The house was as advertised. We enjoyed our stay. The golf cart and lift were great to have. From the house to the beach was just a couple of minutes. Having the lift eliminated having to carry luggage and groceries up the stairs. Our host provided clear instructions on everything.

This was an extended weekend getaway for us so we could sit on the beach and relax. I am having major spine surgery two days after we get home and the stress has been terrible. The house and the location were perfect and having the golf cart available was really nice. Having the lift/elevator was a necessity for me because I can’t walk stairs right now. The house smelled so bad it was hard to stay there. It smelled like mildew and moth balls. The dining room chair cushions are stained and smell terrible. The curtains were torn and stained. There were also mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers.

Convenient Beach and Golf Cart

Overall this was a great place for us to stay! The beach had more driftwood than we expected, but the trade off was worth it for the convenience and smaller crowds! The golf cart was a huge plus, we could ride it around and to the beach which kept the car clean!

The property itself was well maintained and exactly as listed. Wonderfully direct access to the beach. Grill and amenities provided were all well maintained and easy to use. Check-in and out instructions were easy to understand and follow. Host was accommodating and responsive. Overall a really positive experience and would book again. Bonus to have an elevator and golf cart as it made our stay so disability friendly.

Great Mother’s Day retreat

Great weekend with the family. Amenities and location was amazing! Cleanliness had some issues from previous tenants. The charcoal grill and dryer could use some love. Other than that amazing location the fenced in yard was perfect for the kids and dogs. Will definitely re book in the future!

Great Holiday Weekend Getaway

Loved this house, well appointed, comfortable, convenient (if you like West End away from the crazy crowds). Had some trouble with the front door, but the host was very ressponsive and it was resolved immediately. Can't wait to go again, already booked my next stay. 100% recommend.

the paint on the door jams need to be painted. too much scratches, etc. Needs a rug in the hallway. Needs new washclothes and towels. This is a great house and location. Bring your own towels and washclothes. Thank you!!!

Cute, small house. Good for short stay, but issues

There is much to like. It’s close to the beach, nestled in a bustling community, with very popular restaurant and bar a four-minute drive away. The beach is across a busy highway. House is not on beachside. Seawall and town is 17 miles away. Plan accordingly. The living space is small - apartment-sized. Two bedrooms, with a tiny connecting room to the master. No tv in any room except the living room, if that matters to you. Wouldn’t recommend more than 4 adults max. 3 was tight. No bottled water, as listing said. Water Dispenser in fridge almost empty. The tiny, connecting room, as others said, does not have a door, but bed is discreetly behind a wall. The twin-sized day bed in it is appropriate for a child, not an adult. The golf cart is a nice perk, but not strictly necessary, since there is a small parking lot at beach access with plenty of room to park a car. But fun! We stayed only one night, and it was perfectly fine for such a short stay. Overall, enjoyed it. However.. the house had a strong, musty/moldy odor when we l entered and didn’t go away. But it was clean. There was no hot water, to speak of. It was lukewarm at best and didn’t last. Didn’t contact the host about it, since we stayed such a short time. I could not get shower attachment in tub/bath combo to work. The smoke alarm in the master bedroom was dismantled, left on top of the dresser, with wires dangling from the ceiling. With more care for these details, I’d give it a higher score.

I love this property

We had a few hiccups during this stay the elevator was broken and an emergency repairman had to be sent out, but all in all an OK stay and we will be back. Word of warning if you plan on doing ANY cooking. Bring your own pots, pans, and utensils! Do not rely on there being gas for the gas grill. And once again I feel I must reiterate that although this property has an elevator the house is NOT wheelchair accessible.

We really enjoyed but there was no sheets for couch, or any extra sheets at all, just blankets... also the elevator was not running so it should be tested when cleaning to make sure it works.. No big pots with lids. Ice box in garage was not working and it looked like it hasn't worked for a while.. We loved having the Golf Cart!! Overall it was good and we really enjoyed.. I didn't want to come home!! lol
