Fun Family Vacation House with Great Views!

Our stay was wonderful. We had family members travel from 3 states meet to spend a week together. We all fell in love with the house - especially the en suite bathrooms! No waiting in line in the morning!! And the elevator was just like at home - no carrying groceries up the stairs! The house is nicely appointed and tastefully decorated, I spotted several Serena and Lily items from sconces, chandelier, pendants, dining chairs, etc. and a Bernhardt sofa. All high-end furnishings for a vacation rental. Kudos to the ID!! The only downside is that the spa (hot tub) needed to be maintained. Not only was it dirty, it had been so long since it had been cleaned that the water level was too low to use. Unfortunately we didn't try to use it until our 7th and final night. I did text Sand-N-Surf management to let them so they could fix the problem before another family stays there. I would have given the Cleanliness Rating a 5, except for the spa. Over all a great family vacation! And we would definitely like to go back.

Great stay!

The house and location were perfect for our weekend trip with family. The only complaint was the living room furniture - specifically the couch and 2 chairs. The furniture was majorly stained and dirty from previous guests and was extremely low to the ground and flat. A lot of family members had trouble getting in and out of it so they mostly stayed in the kitchen area. Other than the living room furniture, it was a perfect stay!

We enjoyed our stay and loved how convenient the house was to the beach. House was basically brand new and the elevator was very nice to have. Make sure to bring household goods like paper towels and TP, etc. if you plan to stay for an extended period of time.

I do Not want this published online for other guests. For a family of 14 there was not enough silverware. We ran the dishwasher 4 times a day. We also cooked every meal so that made it tough. That is only a helpful suggestion.

Family Reunion Beach Vacation

The Clarendon House did not disappoint! It is more spacious inside that the feel you get from the photos. Superb location! Beautiful view of the beach and nice quiet neighborhood! Easy beach access. Huge open area on the main level! Big kitchen and lots of counter space. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all good sizes, great water pressure and lots of closet space. Loved the built in bluetooth speaker system in the house, deck and hot tub. Wifi worked well. The elevator was very handy to unload and load all the kitchen stuff and for guests with bad knees and old bones. Only complaint - the living room couch and chairs were not very comfortable. They are too soft and low to the ground! Almost as if they were each beanbags. Other than that, the house was lovely! It was cold and rainy, so we stayed indoors mostly. Lots of space to read, play games and do puzzles. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful new home with great views

This property will not disappoint. It's absolutely beautiful. We had a group of 12 ladies for a retreat. The kitchen is not as stocked as other homes. They only provide one towel per guest which I believe is not enough. There should be two towels per guest. We washed our towels but I think having a few extra on hand would have been nice. Other than the towels and kitchen, there is nothing I would change about this home. I did email to inquire about a Keurig before arriving and was told there was a standard coffee pot. The home has a regular coffee pot that also has a keurig. There is a cappucino maker on the 2nd floor but we were not aware of it, so we did not have the pods that fit it either. I question why have those features, if they are not advertised, guests do not know to bring the correct pods to enjoy. We did enjoy using the hot tub. Will stay at this home again.

Dream Beach House!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this home! Everything was perfect and beautifully decorated. The pictures really don’t do it justice. The home fit our group of 6 families (12 adults and 9 kids) and was so convenient for walking the kids back and forth to the beach with easy access right outside the back door. Amazing views. No complaints at all. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect home for a large family

We thoroughly enjoyed the home and location. We found so many hermit crabs, built great sand castles, and enjoyed the outdoor living space. We weren't notified that our check-in was delayed due to a broken thermostat. When I called, the property company began with "we are busy and we will call you when it's ready". This was already 30 mins past our check-in time. After this initial unhelpful response, the staff did look into what the issue was, informed that it would be "soon" and we did receive a text that the home was ready soon after that. I was disappointed that no one from the management company came to the house along with the repairman the next day. We were left explaining (guessing!) what was broken and my husband missed out on beach time due to not feeling comfortable leaving the repairman unattended.
