"It is a well-located and welcoming hotel, with so many imperfections that it feels perfect! You really feel as though you are being welcomed into an old home. The interior is beautiful and the old lift is an attraction in itself. The hotel has been renovated at some point, yet it still feels wonderfully authentic. The staff made it a memorable experience. It is also very conveniently located in a beautiful, wooded area.
A few things to keep in mind:
* You can park for free behind the hotel, and there was always a space available during our stay. There are no EV charging points.
* The breakfast is award-winning, although we did not find it particularly special and it is only available until 9:30 am. The croissants and other pastries were already running out shortly after 9:00 am. The mango and raspberry purées, however, are absolutely heavenly. The staff are very competent and friendly.
* Only the rooms facing the street have air conditioning, due to the traffic on the two-lane road outside. With the windows closed, however, the traffic is not an issue at all. The air conditioning worked extremely well in our room. I would definitely recommend choosing a room with air conditioning, as the rooms can get very warm. There are no fridges in the rooms.
* The hotel uses key cards, so there are no impractical room keys with large key fobs.
We really enjoyed our stay! Definitely recommended for a summer visit, as long as you choose the right room!"
