the entire time I was there I was clouded out of a sunset, So knowing that I wasn't going to get the sunset I went to see what high tide looks like on the island. It was brutal. During high tide the entire beach disappears and water crashes up onto the sand dunes and barrier rocks. I captured this about 45 minutes after sunset. the color comes from the city lights just behind the buildings. Image is about 1 minute long. I had to hold the tripod down when a wave would come in, always fun.
I'm at St Simons Island for a couple days. I came across these birds, no idea what kind they are.
Captured at high tide when the oceans covers up the beach and tries to get over the sand dunes.
