« Lovely old building, beautifully clean and comfortable. Steve and Fiona were very welcoming and kind. Also, they cooked a mean breakfast from a varied menu. It was delicious. The only downside was the lack of parking outside The Bakehouse. It proved to be very difficult but the upside was that approx 60 yards away was a Car Park for only £3.30 for 24 hours! Highly recommend The Bakehouse if you are planning a visit to East Devon. »

« The floor in the bedroom was wet damp coming from somewhere. There was a musty smell. The outside space was filthy the floor was black in places and there was moss on the floor. The table and chairs were rusty. Old plant pots scattered about. The area was smaller than it looked in the photo. We couldn’t sit outside. We should of taken a picture but unfortunately we didn’t. »

« Pet friendly and immaculately clean, only draw back is lack of parking space, however, public car park is very close bye. »

« Great location for the celebration we were attending. Lovely host really friendly. A fab stay »

« Have stayed at Hall & Woodhouse properties previously and The Dolphin rates as highly as the the other accommodation. There is a small car park which was a bonus on the coast and the room had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We had an evening meal and breakfast, good quality food and helpful staff. »

« I’ve stayed at the Mason’s Arms twice now, and both times it’s been exceptional. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable and warm, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is fantastic. I’ll go out of my way to stay here in future. »

« What a wonderful find this hotel was. Lovely and clean and safe, which is essential for a solo lady traveller. An easy walk into the beautiful Sidmouth too. Thankyou for such an enjoyable stay. »
