'Decent breakfast. Good staff. Not the cleanest'

'The room was in great condition. The staff was all friendly and helpful. For us, the breakfast was the best we have ever had in a hotel as far what they offered and their staff kept it well stocked and cleaned up (because guests do not know how to simply clean up when serving themselves). We thought the Fairfield in Southport, NC did a great job overall and we enjoyed our stay. The only draw back to us was the parking lot was on the smaller side.'

'We booked 2 rooms for 2 days. There was a very strong odor of dog urine in the office. The owner/ receptionist had 3 dogs running around in there. The rooms were reasonably clean. However there were used false eyelashes and a couple of press on nails left on top of the microwave. The first day went well. The second day we went to the pool. 'The room was clean I had more than enough towels and wash cloths. The bed slept wonderful and firm mattrrsss. I loved the check in process the most and didn’t have to worry about a key I like the code process! I will be back this was a solo trip and it gave me a peace of mind and very safe close to stores and restaurants. Parking was a little tight but no issues'

'The Carriage House Inn was a perfect place to stay while in Southport. It was in an excellent location, and the owners thought of everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend staying there!'

'This place was not the most expensive however it was very clean and the staff were nothing but respectful and helpful. The building itself is a little dated however the location is one of the best we’ve ever had. That much makes up for a room a little bit dated. For that same price we would definitely book this room again.'

'All the staff from the beginning to the end of our staff were very friendly and eager to help in any situation. The property overall was clean. There is some rust along some of the metal framing but I guess that's to be expected in the beach environment. I personally did not take advantage of the gym or arcade room but both looked decently spacious. The pools are of good size. We spent plenty of time here. Beach access was nice! My only complaint is the amount of noise. The doors slam very hard...
