« Retired couple and our room was substandard. Elevator not working so had to stay on first floor. Contractors parked vehicles outside our window and started at 5am to idle for 1/2 hour. Smoke detector went off at 4am and front desk had no batteries and no way to fix so we had to climb on chair and unhook it ourselves. Large bugs in the room and bugs fell out of smoke detector when unhooked it. Hotel was spraying for bugs in lobby and we understand NC does have bugs but we should not have...

« Room was spacious, clean. Bed comfortable. Balcony. Good views to water! Has an elevator! A huge bonus! Parking ample. Pool was clean and not over crowded. It has a small beach with a small boardwalk. Would come back. Located in Southport. Love the town. 4 min from great eateries and shops. Recommend Cafe Koa. Get there early! Try the fried green tomato omelet! Great coffee too. Few min drive to Oak Island. »

« We booked 2 rooms for 2 days. There was a very strong odor of dog urine in the office. The owner/ receptionist had 3 dogs running around in there. The rooms were reasonably clean. However there were used false eyelashes and a couple of press on nails left on top of the microwave. The first day went well. The second day we went to the pool. There was an electrical outlet on the wall that my daughter plugged her phone charger into. There were no signs stating not to use outlet. The owner/...
