« We came back late from a long walk in the Lakes and realize arriving in our room that they gave us a room with no blind or curtain !!!! We rang the Reception at 11pm they said someone was coming but nobody showed up. The following morning when we wanted to record a formal claim the receptionist just told us "sorry" It is a shame !!! Avoid this hotel ! You pay a high rate for the location but the rest is shameful !! »

« We stayed for 3 nights and wished it could have been more. The hotel is in very good shape. Everything has been well thought out and the decor works seamlessly from reception to lounge, conservatory. Restaurant, corridors , landings and bedroom. Spotlessly clean, fresh towels and bedding. Lovely bathroom, plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly, pleasant and efficient. Food was excellent each breakfast and evening meal. The external seating areas worked well with well laid out patio and garden....

We ´particularly aprreciated thé welcoming presents (cake, jam and flowers) and the help given by the landlords. The location of the cottage is excellent as a starting point for hikes and discoveries the Lake District. We warmly recommend this experience. »
