« We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended! »

« Loved this cozy cottage in the perfect location Very clean on arrival & has 2 beautiful bedrooms with en suite which is an excellent bonus for sharing with friends or family .. showers were fantastic & lovely big bath too.. Great little downstairs loo The log burner was great on a cold evening so warm & cosy Very well equipped kitchen & with everything you need and more.. loved the little courtyard it was perfect for our little 4 legged friends Perfect stay and no complaints at all we will...

« Amazing location, a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants in Ambleside. 15 min walk to Lake Windermere and Ambleside pier. Lots of beautiful walks from the doorstep. We didn’t use the car for days! Clean and comfortable accommodation with great views. Would definitely recommend »

« Booked this via VRBO and was forwarded to Hereward Cottages. Upon booking we were under the impression we had 4 bedrooms to use as we pleased - however, we were told (pretty rudely via email) the 4th bedroom was only suitable for children (even though the beds would have easily held a fully grown adult on the bottom bunk). We'd also booked two dogs but didn't check this at time of booking, again, being told pretty rudely 'they would have to check' this was ok (it was btw!).All in all the actual...

« Great week in Grasmere with ten of us comfortably accommodated in this house. A few minutes walk from the centre of Grasmere with its cafes, pubs and restaurants and on the doorstep of some stunning Lakes hikes and bike rides. Highly recommend bbq and drinks in the beautiful gardens as the sun goes down. Fabulous Lake District experience. »
