Your trip begins in the centre of Prague, where you will be fitted with your bike before taking a short train ride to Konopiste Castle. The castle was originally founded as a Gothic fortress, inspired by past French fortresses with a symmetrical layout of towers, although it has gradually been converted into a romantic château.

You can walk around the courtyard and castle exterior. Learn about the fascinating history of the castle, which was home to the Archduke Frantisek (Franz) Ferdinand d'Este of Austria. A successor to the Austro-Hungarian throne, his assassination in Sarajevo in 1914 sparked World War I. After admiring the castle, you can start your journey and follow the Greenways bike trail. Enjoy a 3-hour bike ride before arriving in Velke Popovice, home to the famous brewery, Kozel.

Take some time to relax and savour a delicious lunch at the brewery, with local Czech food and beer. From Velke Popovice, cycle for another 2 hours to reach Pruhonice Castle and the Kunratice forest, before heading back along the Vltava River and into the centre of Prague at approximately 6:00 PM.
