We really loved the hotel! When we booked there weren't many reviews because it's so new (only 4 months open), but it's even better than it looks in the pictures on the website. The room is really really big with an amazing bed. The beach and pool are so beautiful. You can go snorkeling (it's free and there's a lot to see) or kayaking. There is a small beach, like a sand bank you can go by kayak and it's a little paradise. We also booked a private island tour, which was amazing. We didn't think that there would be a nicer place than the Maldives, but this might be it. We stayed for four nights and could have stayed longer! Because the hotel just opened, only one of the two pools was open and not all the rooms. So it was real quiet (which we liked), but if your looking for a lot of entertainment, this isn't the place to go. They don't serve alcohol at the hotel, but they warn you in advance and even last minute you can buy alcohol and take it with you on the island, You can put it in the fridge and they serve your own wine bottles in coolers, so no problem with that!

Vellago Resort in El Nido was the highlight of our trip to Palawan. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like a king and queen. Everyone was warm, genuinely friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. You can tell they truly care about making every guest feel special. The resort is spotless. Every corner, from the rooms to the common areas, was impeccably clean, and it has every amenity you could want for a relaxing stay. Our room was the real showstopper: it's built right into the mountainside, blending beautifully with the natural surroundings. It looks stunning and feels like a private hideaway in the middle of a mountain. Parts of the resort had been damaged by a recent storm, and the team was busy with remodeling and repairs during our stay, yet everything was still kept beautifully. The resort offered the peace and quiet we were hoping for. It's the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of El Nido. We can't recommend Vellago highly enough and would love to come back! A must-do experience is the private island-hopping tour. We visited six islands, kayaking in breathtaking lagoons, and relaxed and have lunch set up right on the beach on some of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen. The water was crystal clear and every stop felt more amazing than the last. Our captain and the tour guide were wonderful: knowledgeable, fun, and attentive, and they made the whole day unforgettable. Don't leave El Nido without doing this!

We stayed for 5 days in this luxury hotel. Beautiful pool, and that was the best of our stay. This place can be very nice but needs a lot of upgrading to be real 5*. The rooms are cheaply decorated with a luxury touch. If you pay 275 euro per room per night you would expect a luxury bathroom with a bath and rain shower. There was only a simple handshower which you can expect in a hostal. Also the toilettries, cheap ones and the carton boxes of toilettries were full of fungus inside. Although I complained about this, everyday we still got the same fungused toilettries. Also, in the general hallways leading to the rooms and stairs there were dead insects everywhere!! In the 5 days we stayed there, it got more and more every day. When I asked the housekeeping if they could remove the death insects, they told me that general cleaning was too busy!! They just do not mob the hallways. It was so noisy! The hallways are of tiles only. So everybody who is talking, you will hear in your room. Staff with walky talkies in the night, talking so loud, we woke up many times. The worst were the service carts of the cleaning staff and room service. Going through the hallways in the middle of the night or as from 7 am making so much noise that you will wake up right away. We mentioned this to the reception. It was noted but they did not do anything with it. Restaurant is even more expensive than European prices! Way Overpriced and no choise and not tasty. Such a shame of this place!
