« Charming and tastefully decorated, immaculate. Room spacious enough. Desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Continental breakfast was basic but nice (great coffee, toast, bananas, pop tarts). Only two relatively minor issues. Water pressure in our room wasn’t great, and the window unit that provided heat was very noisy. Would definitely stay again! »

« It was a very cute room. Very historic. There were ants all over however. But the location was the best. If you are looking for a quiet retreat the Market Square Tavern rooms are not for you. The cannon goes off a lot and drum and fife play frequently. But you can walk everywhere from it. »

« This is a lovely place to stay. The site itself is beautiful. The breakfasts were very tasty and filling. The owners are so knowledgeable about the area and its history. They helped us use our time there more effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at The Aldrich House. We would return if we ever end up back in Williamsburg. »

« The suite we stayed in really needs updating. The shower did not match the luxurious description on the website. The carpet was in need of replacement. I literally found a large, dead roach right by the foot of the bed upon check-in -- how was this missed by housekeeping? The tvs and remotes were very difficult to navigate and internet slow. I removed the top cover from the bed, as it appeared as though not washed and used sheets and a cotton blanket. The windows really needed cleaning and...

« The biggest problem that ruined the stay was the mattress. The mattress was sunken in and prevented us from getting adequate sleep throughout our stay. The pillows were also very sparse/flat and difficult to use effectively. I don't believe the fan was working in the bathroom because after a shower there was condensation everywhere. I don't think it would take much to make this hotel a great one, the staff is lovely and the grounds are very clean, the breakfast was great, etc. Unfortunately the...
