'From walking in I loved it. Everything you need. Clean, spacious room, comfy bed, lovely fresh bedding, nice towels, tea/coffee making facilites, tv. Would defo recommend. When I come back to Whitby I will stay here again. Parking just outside.'

'We really enjoyed our weekend away, hotel in a great position & outlook. Lovely that it has the restaurant & pub on site but a short walk down the hill to further shops, pubs, restaurants etc. We chose it for the local walks which were great. A member of staff moved there car for us as the car park was full which I thought was very nice. We found all the staff were friendly. 'Everything first rate. Best nights sleep in a very long time. Being picky, I couldn’t have a sandwich after 5.30pm, also lighting in bedroom/bathroom could be brighter. However, excellent stay!'

'We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings'

'The shepherds hut was very run down ,dusty skirting boards ,faded bedding and rotting door and steps the shared toilet and shower were not very clean and there was peeling paint on the walls and ceilings. The food in the pub is very good .'

'The whole apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated to an excellant standard.The bed was probably the most comfortable i had ever slept in and the dual shower was a spa in itself.I would give it a 6star rating and that wouldn't be enough.'
