This property was very quiet and surrounded by woods. The hot tub was a nice perk. The people who own live on site in a separate part. You get the entire first floor suite to yourself and Denise is very helpful with any questions you may have. It really was like a little home away from home. The bed and pull out are comfy.
The property was wonderful, very quiet and relaxing. We're very appreciative of all the extras, the hot tub, fire pit, coffee, snacks, menu/brochures for local restaurants/events, and dog friendly. The location is beautiful and quiet but a quick drive to downtown Waynesville. Denise was a wonderful host. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet getaway retreat. We'll definitely visit again when we're in the area.
My husband and I like to go to The Thunder in the Smokies . In search to find a cabin because my daughter and her doggies decided to tag along. I found this wonderful cabin. It was the perfect price and it's close to everything that we like to do. We love to ride the Blue ridge parkway and that wasn't very far away. It's a cozy little place. Beautiful scenery, and of course dog friendly. The host Denise was absolutely wonderful. Her husband was very great as well. They made us feel welcomed and safe. They also made sure that we had everything that we needed. They also had a nice hot tub. We didn't get in the hot tub but it sure did look good . The only thing that's a little tricky was the driveway it goes up a little hill it can be a little challenging for a motorcycle if you're not experienced .
We stayed here for a weekend getaway. The area is absolutely beautiful! The apartment is the ground level of the ownerâs home. It was very clean and decorated for comfort. It has a kitchenette (with everything needed), a spacious living room (with a wood burning stove), master bedroom, and large bathroom. There is also a very lovely hot tub and fire pit. They had brownies waiting for us on arrival. The owners are very friendly and communicative. Definitely recommend checking out this property.
Beautiful home and beautiful location. We went for my birthday weekend, we ended up going home early for personal reasons unrelated to the property, but the home was clean and secluded in a beautiful part of the country side. She met us at the door and escorted us in and to my suprise a birthday cake was on the table. This was very heartwarming.
We had a nice stay and enjoyed how close it was to Maggie Valley nearby hiking and skiing. It was quiet and cozy and had what everything we needed. The only downside was a couple things not being clean and having nothing to clean with. It wasnât anything drastic but a small set back after a long journey of driving.Host was welcoming and very friendly!
My partner and I had the best experience in this cozy space. It was even cuter than we anticipated and the location is an ideal mountain escape, yet close to the interstate (and a short drive to neighboring towns). Denise was amazingly accommodating and even surprised us with a sweet cake since we stayed during Valentineâs day. Very beyond satisfied with our experience and looking forward to staying again in the future.
Hot Tub extra and in front of owners window where they are permanently living
Very disappointed in this experience. We were refused to refund after the post was not clear that the hot tub was not up and running, there was another dog on the property, and the ownerâs permanently lived there. Even though they posted it in the description, it makes it sound like they might not live there full-time. That being said VRBO is advertised as the owners are not on property and that is not the case for this one. That was the whole reason we used Vrbo. The fire pit is also in front of their window so itâs not a very comfortable stay to tip toe around a shared home.
Mountainous location with basic needs for the kitchenette, woodburning stove for heat in the family room and comfortable beds. This host was great! She had the cabin all ready and offered help with maintaining the woodburning stove and recommendation for the area. We went to the area to pick up a tree at Mehaffey Tree Far where we not only got a beautiful tree but met the owners who were very nice and posed for a picture with our Newfoundland dog. And, do not miss Johnny's Pancake House in Maggie Valley. Stay was too short!
Cozy stay with amazing surroundings! The space was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing. I loved sitting on the covered porch. Would stay again!
The cabin was exactly as it was advertised. Denise and Larry were amazing and there to help if we needed anything. My best friend and I went and had a wonderful stay and the hot tub was an added bonus. We visited just after a hurricane hit the area and even then we were welcomed with kindness and hospitality. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to visit the area!
