Grade II* listed. Mostly 14th Century, possibly by Etchingham family. Rebuilt in 1856 by Rev. Arthur Eden. The great storm of 1987 resulted in much roof damage, and further work done in 1990 and 2001. The tower is the oldest and least altered.

« We stayed with our dog for two nights. Mccanns is perfectly located, Tenterden within easy reach. We use the tap room the one night, nice beer & pizza. Challenger is located beside the other other three units right next to the car park overlooking a small field. The unit has good facilities, covering most needs for a comfortable break.
