'Amazing property . Loved the carved wood ceilings and wood panelled walls not to mention the secret door. Never seen so many books outside a library. unfortunately didn’t stay long enough to read any. Also a vast selection of DVDs. 'Wow! This place was probably one of the best we've ever stayed at. It's huge, plenty of space for our family of 12, 2 beautiful living rooms and an enormous dining table big enough gor us to all eat together. The apartments were decorated beautifully, with lots of attention to detail. Rooms were spacious and beds were really comfy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more! Jayne was really friendly and so helpful. There was a welcome pack of all essentials when we arrived and...

'The Retreat was the perfect place to stay in Windermere. It was stocked with everything I needed from an umbrella to salt, pepper and vegetable oil for cooking. The location was ideal. It was close to the train station and the Main Street. It was very quiet because it was on a little side street. I highly recommend it.'
