« La jeune femme qui nous a servi nous a consacré beaucoup de temps pour indiquer ce qu'il y avait à faire dans la région. Le bâtiment est très ancien et a beaucoup de charme. Très propre. C'était vraiment très agréable de séjourner dans cet hôtel. Dommage que nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit. Thank you for this great stay. »

« Excellent accommodation, perfect for exploring the lakes. Just off the A66 with plenty of parking. I stayed 3 nights in the single room. It was warm, cosy and comfortable with a nice en-suite bathroom. Great food with vegetarian and vegan option. Very reasonably priced and friendly and helpful hosts, I would highly recommend. »

« A fantastic stay. The lady who runs Powter Howe could not have been friendlier and was very patient with me on my arrival, including with my sad attempts to get my car into the place! This is a beautiful, proper country house - very spacious room, lovely breakfast. It is very quiet here. The log fire was amazing and it was great to spend a quiet evening here away from it all! I would stay again. »

Swimming pool, sauna and steam room were high quality, clean and maintained throughout the day. Breakfast excellent - continental pastries and usual buffet. The restaurant and bar area are picturesque and add to warm cosy feeling of the entire venue. Would highly recommend. »
