Staff were friendly, spa was really well appointed and treatments were both very good and reasonably priced. Its location right on the river and in the heart of a tiny but bustling little village is idyllic. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, all the necessary accessories. Highly recommended '

'Having just spent two nights at this wonderful hotel I can easily understand why just about every review here is 10 out o10. This is a fantastic almost perfect hotel. The owners, a sweet young married couple, are clearly utterly devoted to this hotel and every touch has their signature. The stay was perfect, the room wonderful, cozy and comfortable and they cannot do enough for you. 11 out of 10!'

"The room in Fontevraud L'Ermitage was pleasant, it was clean and the beds were good. Perfect for 2 or 3 nights. The room was quite warm in August, there were fans but they made little difference. We also missed having a seat. We were with 4 people, so sometimes we had to wait for each other. Don’t go for the breakfast, the selection is very limited and we found it very disappointing for the price."
