The area is beautiful and so is the cabin but it was filthy and the host does not seem to care about the guests comfort. The bare minimum and effort is provided. Upon arrival I removed my shoes as instructed but had to put them back on because the floors were so dirty. None of the appliances or table were wiped down, clumps of fur in the corners, mouse feces on the cookware and bugs in the towels. I emailed the host shortly after arriving to politely bring the situation to his attention with photos. I was told he would send someone out to wipe things down but that never happened and the host stopped responding.
The property is lovely the pictures and description really does not do it justice. Both my wife and I are from Ohio her Columbus and myself Dayton we met while living in Florida and started our family. We decided to take a family vacation and go home to not only visit family but check out the beautiful Hocking Hills State Park. The property itself was huge and says sleeps 6 but thats an understatement it could sleep more but I understand the reasoning for the listing. The shower in the upstairs bathroom my son loved because its like a spa and has bluetooth in it and has a light so my son thought he was at the club lol. The view from the porch of endless woods and birds chirping was so refreshing. I could say more but whats most important is for you to experience it for yourself. Thanks again for the pleasant stay.
We stayed for a girls book club weekend and the cabin was absolutely wonderful. The open concept living room with the large couch was perfect for all of us to hunker down with our book for a relaxing weekend away.
