Cottage au bord de l’eau dans le Maine | Seegar Camp, Sunny 2
A Nature-Lover's Retreat on the Water
Welcome to Seegar Camp, a newly renovated two-bedroom, one-bath cottage that blends rustic Maine charm with modern comfort. With wood paneling and original flooring throughout, the cottage exudes warmth and character, while large windows fill the space with natural light, sea breezes, and sweeping views of the water and surrounding landscape.
The open living and dining area offers panoramic vistas, cozy seating, and tasteful décor that mixes antiques with modern touches. A wood stove creates the perfect ambiance on cooler evenings (usage is per request based on experience), while a 50" SmartTV, sectional couch, and a collection of games make movie nights and family gatherings easy to enjoy. Upstairs, the loft provides a flexible retreat with a trundle bed (two twins), quiet workspace, or game room. For added comfort, a wall-hung unit provides both heating and air conditioning, making the space enjoyable in every season.
The kitchen is thoughtfully outfitted with stainless steel appliances and all the essentials for preparing meals, while two main-level bedrooms, each with a queen bed, provide restful comfort after days spent outdoors.
Step outside to a landscaped natural oasis featuring a deck with sweeping water views and an outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining; fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, shaded sitting areas, and 200 feet of shared shoreline. Spend your days paddleboarding, swimming, or simply unwinding by the water's edge.
Please note: Seegar Camp shares one acre, the stairs to the water, the platform with Adirondack chairs, and shoreline access with the neighboring Lindquist Cottage. The two properties are connected by a manicured walkway and can be rented either together for larger groups or separately for a more private escape.
Nestled in Tenants Harbor, this serene retreat offers both privacy and convenience. From here, you're just 15 minutes from Rockland's vibrant art galleries, museums, and waterfront dining, and only 25 minutes from Camden, where you can enjoy harbor sails and breathtaking hikes. The charming village of Thomaston is just 10 minutes away, while the Monhegan Ferry Terminal is a quick 5-minute drive - your gateway to one of Maine's most iconic offshore islands. For lighthouse lovers, Marshall Point Lighthouse, made famous in Forrest Gump, is also just 5 minutes away. And if you're looking for a bigger adventure, Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are about 2 hours to the north, perfect for a memorable day trip.
Seegar Camp is the perfect place to slow down, recharge, and reconnect with nature — all while enjoying modern amenities and the unmatched beauty of Maine's outdoors.

My husband and i fell in love with this gorgeous cabin in the woods with ocean/tides view . This place was brand new and wow it was like joanna Gaines from magnolia channel decorated it and designed the features and layout, straight out of a magazine dream So stunning blonde wood floors and pale pine ( i think walls .high ceilings every room was so charming and beautiful and clean wow now for the views floor to ceiling windows and skylights looking at the pine trees and ocean cove with the most spectacular sunrise so private and romantic and close about 20 min to the beautiful towns of Camden and Rockport close to so many great places but so amazing of a place that you got to spend that time there to soaking up pure beauty! Kitchen and bathroom perfect and a really cozy comfortable second floor tv room too . The lowere level is warmed by a wood burning stove that was perfect ! We had some beautiful fires in there but took great care and respect to be safe and keep things clean including opening the windows when first bldg the fire to not let the little bit of smoke that happens when you first start to build it with the door open . So everything stays fresh . The windows open easily and we enjoyed the fragrant fresh air while drinking our coffee in the mornings We didn’t want to leave and we will be back ! And we took the sieger cabin back to Cleveland with us in our hearts

Reviewer Comments:
We stayed here for a weekend in October. It's a beautiful place and seemed brand new. Very cozy with awesome views and a peaceful waterfront setting. Unfortunately, it's not great for when the weather gets cold since there is no heat in the bedrooms. (There is a heatpump in the loft or you can ask permission to use the woodstove in the main room.)I was not impressed with the property management. After booking on Vrbo, they asked me to sign a rental agreement with various terms. One said that the host could cancel my reservation and would only have to offer a refund at their discretion. This made me very uneasy. I had to message them twice to get access information for the rental. During our stay, the propane ran out on my wife in the middle of a shower. It is a tankless system, so she was instantly sprayed with cold water. We had no way to cook anything for dinner without propane. I called the emergency number and they blamed it on the propane company missing an autofill but didn't even offer an apology for the poor experience. They did have it filled a few hours later, though. I expected more given how much this place costs.
