If you are lucky enough for this space to be available during your time in Japan, booking this place would be the best decision! Kimi is absolutely incredible and will ensure your stay is phenomenal. 'Very thoughtful and helpful staff, always offering us heat packs/ umbrella when we leave in the morning. Onsen is small but has both indoor and outdoor areas, good vanity supplies and hair dryer. Location is excellent if you drive and want to be based near the Hoshino resort area. Plenty of things to explore within 20min drive from hotel.'

'Was a great stay at this great little inn. It may be a bit different than what most western guest expect to find, but I went for the Ryokan experience and was not disappointed. Staff were really great, helpful in scheduling transport to the monkey park and to the train station. Room was clean, good size, and had everything I needed. The town itself is a cute little village and it was a great experience going to all 9 baths in the town. The baths themselves could use a bit more attention... some...

'We verbleven slechts 1 nacht hier, het is een basic accommodatie, maar zeer netjes en goed onderhouden in een familiale sfeer. De kamers zijn klein, maar schoon. Het geheel komt een beetje gedateerd over, maar is perfect in orde. Het ontbijt was was gewoon goed, niets speciaals. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Het hotel ligt wel een eindje van de dorpskern van Akakura, toch zeker 15 minuten wandelafstand. Prijs/kwaliteit was perfect in orde.'

'Nice location close to lift system. Good crowd of young seasonal staff running the house. The property has some good features, such as small onsen, ski and drying room. Bedroom was a little noisy due to an adjacent boiler switching on and off during the night.'
