We really enjoyed our stay. The home was exactly as advertised which we definitely appreciated. It was nice to have the kitchen with a wine opener and decent dishes. Being on the water was a plus for our cousin specifically but enjoyed by all. We sat on the back deck morning and night. It was fun to watch the pelicans and boats. Definitely highly recommend.
The 125 fee at check-in seems a little excessive but we did enjoy the community and amenities. The pool was never too busy and they offer activities everyday (bingo, water aerobics, etc). This unit had two bikes which were fun to ride around and two kayaks which we did not use as we did not see a swim ladder to use at the house. The view from the back porch is amazing. The layout of this unit is odd as you walk right into a bedroom from the front door. This unit is in need of updates as the kitchen cabinets were falling apart, tile in master bedroom coming up and a very strong odor when you walk in the door. This property is managed by a company so be prepared for lots of emails and requests to fill out paper work before and during your stay. Overall, weâd stay at Ventures Out again, but would look for a different unit.
First the good: the location is perfect. Venture Out is a fun community and is conveniently located. Sailfish Haven is right on the water with gorgeous views. It is clean and the decorations are cute and beachy. The Square Grouper is a wonderful spot nearby, and the fresh fish at the Low Key fish market is amazing. The bad: Venture out piles on the fees and rules, so your stay is much more expensive than you expect. This unit is really pretty worn out, with broken toilets, lights that donât work, cabinet doors delaminating, worn furniture, etc.
Liked the location! Easy to get to Key West & great restaurants close!I felt the money we paid for 2 nights was high for the cleanliness of the place. Kitchen could use an update & the front cover over furnace was filthy! Beds were not comfortable. We enjoyed the lanai & the scenery
