« I travel to So. Illinois annually to visit but this is my first stay at the Makanda Inn. It will not be my last. I had a very peaceful stay- after long days of family visit and running around with the grands, it was so nice to stay here where it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was top notch and just the right portions. »

« Host was great with answering any question we had and the place was clean. Steps at the entrance were hard for someone that has physical issues. »

« Property, while clean and in great shape, didn't seem to have any "personality" (e.g. no pictures on the walls, no floor lamps, no comfortable chairs, etc.). Bed, incredibly high and hard to get into, had no table or light on one side. »
