'This was a very fun place to stay in the absolute heart of Shinjuku. Omoide Yokocho is only 3 minutes away, go under the traintracks and cross the street and you're in Kabukicho. We had some worries about sound because you're on a very busy street but aside from the very occasional ambulance (twice in 5 nights) we didn't hear much outside noise. The staff spoke impeccable English and were very friendly. This is the perfect place to stay for first timers who want to fully immerse in the hussle...

'I love hotel j-mex. The worst part is to get down the stairs to the property if you have big luggage etc. everything else is perfect. This is a love hotel so you will see people using it for that purpose, and cigarette smell if that bothers you. If not, J-Mex is always my go to when I stay in Japan. The room is huge. The bathroom is the best. 100000/10 we love you j-mex see you next trip'

'This is a great option for a first trip to Tokyo. It is extremely central in Shinjuku by the train station, but also in a quiet pocket away from the hectic crowds. Service and breakfast are good. Many restaurants nearby with Japanese and Western options as you get over the jetlag.'

'We zijn 2 nachten in dit hotel verbleven en zijn erg enthousiast. Het personeel was vriendelijk, de kamers erg netjes en schoon en ruim. Er waren enkele extra’s die het verblijf nog beter maakten, zoals een wasmachine en magnetron op de kamer. Ook was er een tv waarbij je via YouTube gewoon filmpjes/muziek kon opzetten. De locatie was voor ons als gezin met veel koffers en een kinderwagen net te ver van het station, maar dat was het enige nadeel. '

'This place was amazing! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, even if some didn't speak English. They have free breakfast every morning (make your own onigiri, juice, coffee, bread, and soup) and s'mores in the evening. There is a beverage vending machine and unlimited serve your own alcohol available 24/7. The inside is so pretty and calming and they have a little campsite themed dining area. 'Mooie kamers en op een centrale plek. Toch vielen een aantal zaken tegen. Het ontbijt was karig, je kamer wordt om de dag schoongemaakt en het personeel kon vriendelijker. Kortom, plussen en minnen. '

'Our third hotel during our stay in Japan and this was our favorite one, saved the best for last. First of all, so thankful for their amazing staff! They were able to store some of our luggages for two nights as we would be away to Osaka, even if we weren’t checked in as guests yet.
