'Was what was promised - clean room, nice staff, convenient access, good communications about what to expect. Cool option of the "largest candy shop in VT". Home made chocolates were great. My only concern had to do with Expedia, which didn't share my phone number to text, rather than email, my access code.'

'Noticed a slight earthy taste in the water on our 1st day, didn’t think anything of it. On the second day I noticed the bath water when I filled the tub was slightly brown. This unit has had “boil water” advisories in the past. Asking the state board of health to help determine what was in the water.'

'We stayed on a nice that had high humidity and hot temps. We attended a graduation, so it was very late when we got to the room. We noticed the A/C was not working, we spoke to the desk person. They explained how to reset the A/C in the room. We did that and still not working. We spoke to the desk again and was told to give it a half hour or more and if it doesnt work then they would give us another room. Well by then it was almost midnight and the kids had fallen asleep. So we didnt change...

'Main building is restored Vermont-style. Looks really nice and includes a good restaurant (good menu, friendly staff, reasonable prices). Motelrooms are clean and spacious from the inside and - we guess - are getting an exterior update. '

Ruime parkeer gelegenheid gratis. Service is vriendelijk en goed. Het huis biedt op het balkon gelegenheid om te zitten en wat te drinken. Wel is de prijs te hoog voor wat er geboden werd. Maar het is wel centraal gelegen in montpelier.'

'Our room met our needs. It was clean and comfortable. Everything worked as it should. This is a solid property but it’s not “luxury”, and that’s meant as a compliment! It meets the needs of recreational travelers who need a good place to rest without breaking the bank.'

'This is an amazing Inn (Bed and Breakfast) that we stayed at. The two owners, Brandon and Susannah, are amazing and generous hosts, with homemade cookies (yum!), breakfast and many other amenities on site. They also gave excellent recommendations, not just for the local area but also for the rest of our holiday in the USA. My partner and I absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a home away from home.'

'This is 5th time staying at Talta and 2nd time staying in a Stuga. Even with the help of staff, we were unable to get the cabin temperature down below 84F. We slept with fans and opened the windows and by morning the temp dropped to 81F. If customers have reserved a Stuga, ideally staff check the temp or assure that it’s in a reasonable range prior check in. Your staff did everything they could to help us. People in other Stuga units were reporting the same issue as well. With summer...

'The location of this historic hotel was perfection. Situated in the heart of picturesque Montpelier we had a view of the gold domed state building and were able to walk to enticing shops, restaurants and the weekly farmers market. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very personable, helpful and welcoming. Although this is an older property with some dated features the staff, cleanliness, comfort and location makes it a property to visit again. '

'This hotel was probably great in its heyday. Unfortunately, it is a shell of what it once was. Time to close it down and fix it up. It smells old with wafting mildew, the water pressure is pathetic the showers and curtain are archaic, the bathtub was chipped, and the no slip strips were old and dirty. the bathroom robes and sheets are made of polyester, the pillows were made of thin foam. And get this: you need to call the front desk to get an elevator to go up and down since it’s a manually...
