I really wanted to like this stay, but it missed the mark in a big way. I had contacted Expedia ahead of time to make sure my room had a tub. I have severe leg and ankle pain from multiple surgeries, and when the weather gets this cold, soaking in Epsom salts is the only thing that keeps me functioning. Expedia even called the hotel directly and I paid extra for the upgrade. I was told the tub was guaranteed.
After driving for hours in a snowstorm alone with my child, we were exhausted and relieved to finally arrive. I hauled several loads of our things into the room, unpacked everything, and my daughter was already excitedly getting her swimsuit on for the pools. When I finally went to use the bathroom, I realized we’d been placed in a shower-only room.
I was in too much pain to drag everything back out and move rooms, and I didn’t want to ruin my kid’s night, but it was incredibly disappointing. I paid for something I didn’t receive, and it was the one thing I actually needed.
To top it off, the body wash in the shower was completely empty, so I had to DoorDash some from Target after settling in.
I don’t leave reviews lightly, but this stay was frustrating and felt careless. If you’re going to charge extra for a guaranteed room type, please make sure guests actually get what they paid for.
