A wonderful place to stay, central to all the parks, and a short drive to the distilleries. A fully stocked kitchen. Clean, bright. Plenty of pillows, extra blankets, towels and wash cloths. Great porch overlooking a stream to have morning coffee or nighttime drinks. We all agreed we would definitely go back. The hostess is easy to contact and very responsive.
We picked this property because of the location and what we wanted to do while we were there. We were close to all the State Parks and waterfalls we visited. It was a clean, comfortable and accommodating. We enjoyed hanging out on the back porch for morning coffee and again for evening beverages. Such a peaceful and private setting that made our vacation a true getaway. Communications with Dawn before and during our stay was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit the area. You wonât be disappointed.
Dawn's propert wa ssituatedat the top of a small slope, adjacent to the floodplain trees and overlooking beautiful Cherry Creek. A pastoral ambiance of lightly used hay fields along the entrance drive really provided a wonderful introduction. The porches, front and back, with rocking chairs and couches, made a wonderful plqce to have coffee or evening beverage and truly relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay spending time with more than 33 species of birds, river otter, woodchucks and beaver. The facilities were more than we could have hoped for. Thanks, Dawn, for providing such a great place for out Tennesse time!
This property provided a peaceful respite. Loved sitting on the back porch listening to the birds and babbling water. Even enjoyed an evening of rain. Inside wasnât bad either. Will definitely be back if/when in the area.
I came here with a friend for a week to enjoy all the local parks and waterfalls, and this was a wonderful home base. The house is well kept, plenty of amenities, and Dawn was very helpful and kind. The property is fairly quiet, and the back porch is great for enjoying the evenings. There is also a fire pit with wood provided. The area around the creek was a bit overgrown (and don't even try to get to the waterfall unless you aren't allergic to poison ivy and don't mind getting wet...I tried), but it is still nice to see from up on the porch. The only downside I would give is that the 2nd bathroom is quite small, and the toilet is way too close to the sink, but overall, it did not affect our enjoyment of the trip. I would absolutely stay here again, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to escape. Thanks again to the owner for all the useful information!
The creek, home, and quiet location were perfect for a long weekend adventure! We explored breweries, wineries, and waterfalls in the area. It was always nice to come back to the peace and play some games or relax on the deck next to the creek.
Wife and I stayed for a few days by the creek. Enjoyed the stream and seeing the wild Turkeys. House was charming and everything worked as it should. Talked to the lady renting the place several times and she could have not been more accommodating. Hope to stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay. The house is in a quiet location that is close to many state parks with some of the most beautiful waterfalls. Communication was great. My husband and I are already talking about a return trip.
This was a very nice property in a good location. The kitchen was well equipped. The place had a large living area. We liked the table games that were available as well as the jigsaw puzzle which we put together. We did a creek walk to see the refreshing waterfalls on the property.
Every one of us, ages 71, 69, 13, & 8 absolutely loved this place & the 13 year old asked if we could go again sometime, as we pulled away to head home. The house is roomy with a well set up kitchen. The setting is perfect for folks who like to "get away from it all", & the creek directly behind the house, along with small waterfalls on the property, are absolutely "icing on the cake". Thank you, Dawn, for our perfect grandparent/grandchildren get away trip!
The property is beautiful and the home is fully stocked. Location is great. The back porch amd areas are amazing. We definitely would stay here again. The only compliant i would have is that the toliet seats slide and the beds arent very soft. Otherwise everything was great.
It was a beautiful place. It has a big back porch you can drink your morning coffee and enjoy the breeze and listen to the water running down the creek. It also has a nice front porch where you can seat and watch the children play. We plan to come back with our gry. It's a great location we visited Jamestown, Cookeville down to Lynchburg.
It's was neat and clean.
We had a wonderful time staying in the cabin on the creek. Sooo many waterfalls in the area that we were only able to hike to a couple of them. We will definitely be back next year to enjoy the cabin and a couple more waterfall hikes. The creek is beautiful, the cabin is clean and comfortable. The porch was a great place to hang out and eat meals.
I donât want to tell anyone how great this place is!
This place is amazing! It is quiet and has a creek out back, the back porch is amazing to sit on and just chill. There is a fire pit with plenty of chopped wood provided. We have been twice and plan on staying more. The location is excellent for access to plenty of nature, hiking, waterfalls etc. My kids have room to roam and explore. I donât want to tell yall how great this place is because I want to keep it all for us but I know how useful reviews can be for people, so I guess the secret is out!
