The condo was beautiful and the facilities were great. We loved the gym and game room, and proximity to the beach, and the hot tub! A few complaints, the pool was cold. For 2 days, the hot tub was also cold. The room was great but the kitchen lacked some needed basics. There was not a single pan to use the oven. Only four coffee cups/ bowls, which is not enough for an 8-person condo. Lastly, there was construction going on in the building and multiple times we couldn't access our floor and had insanely toxic fumes, which we should have been notified of ahead of time.Otherwise, was great and would stay again.

Everything was great exept when the batteries for the card access to open the room went dead we had to go to the front desk and wait for it to be convenient for them to let us in the room. I was told it would be fixed the same day but after a whole day of this i had to call again to get them to make a repair. The first call they didnt make a repair ticket apparently.

The condo was clean and just as described. The view from the balcony was one of my favorite parts. The Sapphire property is wonderful as well and staff are very friendly. I wish the condo had been better stocked with things like beach towels, more coffee cups, and bakeware. The ice maker on the fridge didn’t work, but they had a counter top ice maker provided. We liked that there was plenty of seating inside and out and extra bedding. Overall, we had a wonderful 10 day stay and would choose to stay here again.

We have stayed at the Sapphire before so we knew the location was perfect for us. This was our first time at this condo and it was perfect. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The view was amazing. The Sapphire staff were very friendly, helpful and nice. One thing about this visit that I don’t remember from before, maybe it was the same, but the pool had a lot of security people. I don’t know if they have had problems or they were just being proactive. It’s definitely our favorite place to stay on South Padre.

Disappointed

Our family has stayed at the Sapphire many many times in the past so we were sadly disappointed with this property. We had to wait after arrival to have the water "turned on" so they were not prepared for our arrival even though we arrived after 5pm. The ice maker in the refrigerator never worked so had to go buy ice. The last evening, the air conditioner decided to stop working; when management was notified their response was "well you're checking out by 11 tomorrow morning anyway." (No apology was ever offered! Just the "you're leaving soon" repeated.) Was not pleasant having to dress and pack to depart in a condo with a temperature of 80 degrees. Having always enjoyed our stays at the Sapphire we were looking forward to planning our annual family gathering (looking at 3+ condos to rent to accommodate our large family of 25+ members). Needless to say, we will look elsewhere for our accommodations.

Sapphire Condo in SPI

Spacious clean condo. Great view and location. Beachside umbrella service and huge pool. Seaside Grill will bring food and beverages to you while you’re chilling on the beach or you can enter through Margaritaville and order cocktails. Overall great stay. The condo is equipped with plenty of beach and pool toys. Things the owner could improve on would be better pillows and have a Kuerig coffee maker. Ceiling fan in master bedroom is loud and needs to be adjusted. Also the condo instructions say there’s a towel exchange on the property, but that is not an option so laundry detergent is needed to wash throughout your stay.

The view!

Easy to book, property has a great view, there is a beautiful pool and a huge hot tub, it was off season so we had a very quiet and relaxing time. Easy access to the beach. Not very many people in the building or out in the pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Will visit again!

I am so pleased with the VRBO we rented a few weeks ago. It was a great location with great amenities for the whole family. Even though the weather wasn’t awesome, we still had a great time. The condo was well furnished and very comfortable. The only thing I would ask is for beach towels to be available for use, but other than that we were very happy. The furnishings were nice and the view was spectacular!

Family Christmas Vacation.

The location was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool was said to be heated, but it was not. One of the showers had little or no flow. We had to have 7 people use one shower. There were not extra towels. We had to get by with 5 towels for 7 people. Other than these small items the place was great and we would go back.

Lack of maintenance communication

Condo is beautiful, I paid alot of money for a nice place to say, however our dishwasher never worked and neither did the dryer. I was traveling with my grandchildren, we washed dishes after every meal …dryer never worked properly.. I can only hope the next family doesn’t have the same problem .. it was a problem .. I called Padre rentals severos times and left messages, I never got a call back ..
