A few Steps to beach. I'm more than happy to show my place to anyone to help alleviate any possible concerns you may have with the place or my ownership. Just give me a call to setup a time. Please inquire about the additional 5% to 15% savings on ANY reservation being offered. If you are unable to stay a whole month please inquire and we may be able to work something out. We are flexible (so long as the days are not taken and our calendar is up-to-date), Rates can be negotiated!

This is a Beautiful 2 bedroom, 3 patios, 2 bath Ocean View Condo in an ocean front complex on the bluffs of Solana Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. PETS are ONLY allowed for LONG TERM stays (please inquire for details). Sleeps 4 but can sleep more (One very nice full size and one single blow up mattress also available). Maximum of 6 people. The condo was totally remodeled and refurnished. New Brazilian Tigerwood hardwood floors , Kitchen complete with everything you will need to cook, 55in HD flat screen TV in livingroom, and TV in Master bedroom. Master Bedroom has a king bed. Living room spanning ocean views. In addition to standard amenities also provided: Beach towels, Beach Chairs, Boogie Board, Extra blow up beds, outdoor Grill, Fully loaded kitchen (Toaster, coffee maker, Verismo Starbucks coffee maker, spices, wine glasses, pans, dishes, silverware, etc). The unit is on the second floor and is all on one level. Community offers oceanfront swimming pool, hot tub. Secure Stair access leading down cliff to beach. Secure garage parking.

There is still availability during Del Mar Race season (July 15 - Sept 7). The Pacific Classic race takes place in August. Come watch many of the country's top horses at Del Mar's most prestigious race. There is also the Bing Crosby Season will bring back the cool Del Mar vibe, fabulous Southern California weather and quality racing November to December. Please note Pets are only allowed for long term stays only (30 days). Please email me for details.

Del Mar Race track just a short walk. More than 45,000+ race fans are expected to attend what's defined as one of the most fabulous, fashionable and fun festivities in the west -- Opening Day at Del Mar is July 15th. This goes on until Sept.
This is the perfect vacation home for a family of 4 or 6 to enjoy the breathtaking views and activities of Solana Beach and Del Mar. The ocean view from the spacious front patio and both bedrooms is beautiful. Listen to the sound of the surf, relax in the sunshine and watch for surfers and sea life. I often see dolphins, whales (during migration), pelicans and seals while relaxing in the Jacuzzi and pool. More than 10 great restaurants are a short walk from the complex or enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. Private beach access from complex. The private gated complex has a clubhouse, beautifully landscaped grounds, sauna, outdoor showers, Oceanfront pool and Jacuzzi. This fully furnished condo features two spacious bedrooms with one queen bed and one king and two full-sized baths. Each bedroom has peek-a-boo ocean view patio. The large main patio (with ocean view) is ideal for entertaining or just relaxing while watching the gorgeous sunset over the ocean. internet service, and a private underground parking spot. Please note: dogs are not allowed for short term rentals due to new HOA rules.

The Amtrak depot is within walking distance (15 min .9 mile) and the train can take you to downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp district or Old Town. Its fun to walk to downtown Del Mar....walking along the beautiful beach and then shopping at all the cool stores in the area. It's also within walking distance of the Del Mar Fairgrounds and race tracks. The San Diego county fair is great for 4th of July fireworks, rides for all ages, and great concerts, many of them free with admission. You can also enjoy the other sites San Diego has to offer its just a short drive to the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Legoland, PetCo Park and Mexico.

We had a great stay at the condo. The unit was clean and well-appointed. We had everything we needed. The unit is.close enough to the ocean that we could hear it, even with the doors.closed. Very relaxing. The parking was easy. The host was responsive to our questions. We would like to go back.

We have had other VRBO units that were much nicer than this. First impression, the front door had cuts and looked like someone tried to break in. The host gave us the wrong gate code, ice maker and garbage disposal didn't work, could only use the living room ceiling fan on low, the hand soap dispensers were empty, no aluminum foil. I have never been anyplace that didn't provide a hair dryer. It was a workout opening the sliding porch door. The spa was closed, and in our 3 week stay, the water was shut off twice for a few hours. The host was not personable. I am giving it 3 stars because we did have a nice view of the ocean and the location was good.

Solana Beach

Property was easy to get to and has private underground parking. I didn't realize the property was on the third floor with no elevator. If you are handicapped this is not the property for you as there are 3 flights of stairs. Property is very clean and nicely decorated. Owner very helpful and was much appreciated when we talked about an issue with the lock. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves.

Our stay started off by arriving to the unit after a 6-hour drive only to find the beds not made up, dirty towels in the tub, food in the fridge, etc. Clearly not what we expected. Although the owner was very apologetic and managed to get a cleaning woman in within the hour, we were unable to get our luggage in until 9 pm. The unit is on the 3rd floor and needless to say, lugging our gear up 2 flights of stairs didn't add to the experience.The next day we scoped the place out; couldn't use the garbage disposal, kitchen sink faucet didn't fully retract, trash compactor hadn't been cleaned, bathroom rugs were dirty, heating was questionable with no instructions on how to operate it. The listing describes the unit as "newly remodeled", which is very misleading. Cabinets are "well-used", barstools needed repair, screen to balcony was torn and the overall vibe was one of haphazard-ness. Neither bedroom had any closet space for personal items. The rules of the HOA regarding pets are VERY restrictive.The one good aspect of this VRBO was the location to the dog beach. As we travel with our pup, it was nice to be able to have the beach in such close proximity. We contacted the owner directly with our concerns/experience and she was very gracious about returning our money since we decided to leave a week earlier than planned.

Overall our stay was nice. The biggest disappointment was the HOA rule about pets. Missed it completely when I booked the condo. We worked around other oddities but overall the say was nice. The Condo was clean and had the basics.

Great Location

The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed having coffee/cocktails on the deck watching the sunsets. We also loved having the hot tub. The many stairs to the unit and to the beach did not both us. Secured parking was also a plus. We booked for 3 months but left early due to plumbing issues in the building and were reimbursed for that time. There were other issues with plumbing while we were there that took a couple of days to repair but was done as quick as possible. We were instructed not to use the garbage disposal (that's ok for a short stay but not for long term). The description indicated the unit had been totally remodeled but we found it dated (old, dirty trash compactor, missing covers to canned ceiling lights, broken lamp and a bad smell in the kitchen around the sink, old kitchen floor tile, etc. The window treatment in the dining room was broken and finally replaced toward the end of our stay. I don't think the coffee pot had ever been cleaned along with a tea pot, pot holders and hand mixer. As someone else mentioned the couch is very uncomfortable. We sat in the dining room the majority of the time. The bedrooms were spacious and beds were fine. We would most likely not stay at this unit again but the location was great!

Barbara is very responsive and friendly. The location is wonderful and the facility is very nice with a Jacuzzi and a heated pool overlooking the ocean. Security guard on site. The only downsides were no elevators and really tight parking spaces to get in and out of with a larger sized vehicle, no air-conditioning however she is installing ceiling fans this weekend. Nice place but check-in was difficult

I rented this apartment for my son and his family. We have an apartment in the same complex and we needed more space. Sadly, the apartment was not clean upon arrival. I guess a cat was there prior to our arrival and there was a lot of cat hair. Also, knowing that security in the complex was increased, I tried to provide the necessary information but it was not entered into the system so the guests were not listed for access to the amenities until a day late. The owner/manager seemed confused as to the proper check-in requirements. I am sure it will get sorted out for the next occupants. The pictures on the website were accurate. Note, there is not a sofa bed.

We spent 9 days in Solana Beach with our adult son. It was a great place to stay, a wonderful way to enjoy the ocean. The location is very convenient, a quiet location but close to San Diego and other larger cities. We would love to stay there again.

NOT FOR HANDICAP

After flying into the San Diego airport and seeing the homeless/drug crisis, it was refreshing to see an immaculately maintained, secured property. This residence had all the amenities of home. It was stocked with the little extras that you always forget to pack. Having a laundry facility on site made it easy too. We made the most delicious steaks on the charcoal grill. They only complaint would be the family room furniture. When you come home from sight seeing, walking the beach, climbing the hundreds of stairs….everyone wants to stretch out and prop their feet up. The couch is extremely uncomfortable. But we knew that before we went because the pictures showed this. The Del Mar area seemed to be very safe. There were a few panhandlers as you exited the highway, but none laying on the streets of the city. You could walk freely and safely. This area has a lot to do. I would highly recommend this location and condo. Please be aware that there are MANY FLIGHTS OF STAIRS to get down to the ocean. And 3 flights to get up to this condo.

Hosts were super easy to work with. The location is beautiful, just steps to the beach. Porch views amazing. Also, so many good areas to eat around Solana. Location is away from busy down town San Diego but easy to drive there, takes about 18 minutes. The pool was heated and the hot tub was so nice as well.

Awesome location and relaxing 10 days.

Staying here was a good experience. The host was accommodating with our requests. This is a good quality vacation home, well stocked. We cooked our Christmas dinner for our extended family with no issues. Comfortable accommodations. We would stay there again, for sure.

Great Experience, Great Property!

One of the best overall VRBO experiences I've had! The communication was good from the first inquiry and throughout the stay. Place was clean and prefect for what we needed. The condo is in a secured community with a great location and a short walk to the beach. Solana Beach is a cliff beach setting and that's what makes it beautiful so there is a staircase to get there, but nothing like a little exercise to breath in the fresh ocean air. Experienced an amazing sunset our last night sitting out on the patio that overlooks the ocean. I would highly recommend it!

Great location and wonderful views. We could sit on the deck in the morning and see the ocean and the surfers while drinking our coffee. The hot tub overlooks the ocean. The beach was wonderful and easy to access from the property. Will stay there again!!

Wow! The location!

Had a very nice stay here. Great location for beach, restaurants, walking. You can walk for miles in each direction on the beach when the tide is out. The stairs & the path behind the condo are public so quite busy but not overwhelmingly so. Very close to the dog beach at Del Mar. If you’re not thrilled with stairs it’s a short walk down the street to the dog beach & over the bridge to Del Mar. Good views of the ocean from the balcony & living room. Spent hours just watching the surfers. A few dolphin sightings too. Our weather while there was unusually cloudy & overcast but it made for good walks & a few sunny days to lounge on the beach.

Location, Location, Location

Lovely condo, maybe 100 feet from the access to the ocean. The access included five flights of well maintained stairs to the beach. Pool and jacuzzi overlook the ocean. Quite condo area with many full time owners. Very friendly. Restaurants and shops a short walk away. I vasillated between a four and five star rating because the condo itself had plumbing problems. The owner had signs up warning us not to use the garbage disposal. The owner had such a fine screen in the drain, the water would back up and was slow to drain. Besides that, the master bathroom had a bueatiful double shower but it had a SLOW, SLOW drain. By the end of the shower, you were ankle deep in water.... Not so nice. It would take quite a long time (30 minutes) for the water to thouroghly drain for the next person.
