The location was great. The house was quite roomy and the kitchen was fairly well-equipped. The house is old, though and could use some updates. Paint is chipped on some of the molding and rust on the deck. The listing was inaccurate—it indicated 4 double bunks in both kids’ rooms. One room has a double over double bunk plus a single bed. The other had a single over double bunk plus a single bed. This is quite a significant difference if you have lots of small kids. Also there was a picture of the library with a twin bed. This room doesn’t exist. The house needs a deep cleaning—blinds were dusty and light switches were dirty. When some of our party arrived, there was one woman cleaning the house. If she had no help, that house is a lot to clean for one person. Also things need to be cleaned out. Lots of remotes, several coffee makers in cabinets, 3 non working Xboxes Also the railing on the deck—it was a little loose in one area. The master bath was probably quite luxurious at one time, but the black toilet, shower and sinks have white stains plus there is tarnish on the gold fixtures. With a little renovation, this house could be a 5 property. Lots of bedrooms and baths—the kitchen is a little small but there is also a small nook kitchen with a beverage refrigerator which was handy. The two tables were great as well. There were plenty of plates, glasses, utensils, and cookware. The silverware was adequate but could have more teaspoons. Air-conditioning worked well
