Property was new but in distressing condition. Walls were scuffed and stained throughout the house. Area rugs had curled edges that we tripped on. Deck boards were not all fastened, warped and stuck up. 2 wood rockers were broken and unsafe to site in. Other 2 had loose joints and mushrooms growing out of joints. Bath outlets quit working 3rd day. Notified manager, nothing was done. Maint. did come and fix loose deck boards and hauled off broken chairs. Pool was nearly a foot low on water; mgr. instructed me to fill it with a hose from the top floor. Questioned water quality, said pool man was coming Tuesday. He showed up Wednesday, shocked the pool and told us to stay out for at least 2 hours. House has 4 bedrooms but 1 closet upstairs for entire house; not even a utility closet - vac and broom in half bath. MAIN ISSUE was- we rented a unit east of Gatlinburg. Manager/host assured us of a specific location but did not provide an address. 6 days before checking in we were informed our unit was northwest of Sevierville,17 miles and 40 minutes away from where we rented in a completely different house. Manager refused to change us to the correct property, claimed the map wasn't precise. But he had messaged us that the house was either on or in close proximity to Azeala Circle - IT WAS NOT. Then he offered to cancel with no refund, so we made the trip. Very unhappy with "bait and switch" tactic and with VRBO for allowing this type of fraud.
