    Big Thunder Lodge offers the perfect combination: Amazing Location, Amazing views, plenty of room and plenty to do!

    You are just 10 Minutes to all the fun in Pigeon Forge and Dollywood and just 15-20 Minutes to Gatlinburg and the National Park. Given the quiet location, you are also only 10-12 minutes to the Arts and Crafts Community. Many bigger cabins are located far away in Sevierville, but Big Thunder Lodge is right in the middle of all the popular attractions and also features Incredible Views.

    Perfect for your large group the cabin has plenty of room to spread out inside as well as plenty of furniture to relax outside on the covered decks with amazing views of the mountains.

    Dine in with 2 fully equipped kitchens each with a dining area (12 dining seats and 6 dining seats). No need to head out for every meal as you'll have all you need to prepare meals at your cabin including a grill.

    Don't worry about being bored, a stand-up classic arcade game, pool table, digital TV, DVD players as well as a hot tub on the deck will keep your party happy and entertained.

    Retire to your master suite (there are 6 total) each with your own full bath (2 with Jacuzzi tubs). There are 4 kings and 2 queen beds as well as a queen sleeper sofa in the great room.

    There are 2 washer/dryers (1 on each floor), iron and ironing board, free local and long distance as well as free high speed wireless internet for your convenience.

    Free WIFI, a washer / dryer, iron and ironing board, and paved parking are included for your convenience. All linens and towels are provided as well as a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and detergents.

    This cabin is professionally managed by Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay.     Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking my be staying in the cabin.

    We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are not pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items.

Warped and split decking is a trip hazard and potential for more serious foot injuries Ceiling fan in main room makes a noise like a bad bearing, Had to turn it off. Garbage bins outside never emptied in two weeks. Dryer ran for hours for a few towels. Not enough supplies for 2 weeks, garbage bags, soaps and detergents.

Reviewer Comments: I booked The Big Thunder cabin for my family and let me say it wasn't my usual Stay .All of the best mattresses were outdated .One side wore out so bad my husband kept rolling down to my side .We woke up everyday to back pains along with other members of my family .Ask maker wasn't working .Hair on sheets when my sister was getting on her bed .Remotes had big blue electric tape on the back of them .I must day the maintenance guy brought my sister fresh sheets .He came to look at the ice maker and said it was on and cut it on but it went out again so we just bought ice Power went our on one side of home but thankfully maintenance guy was their fo help .The powered ceiling fan in the downstairs queen bedroom didn't work and we were told the remote was broke and had to be ordered .I asked for just a portion of a refund or a discount on another cabin but was asically told no .Because my family was there we just made the best of our time together. IVE never stayed at wild briar always elks property so this was not the norm for me

Our new favorite location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin worked perfectly for us. Location was convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin was spacious and large with excellent views. We preferred this location to previous stays. Really good value and the Elks Lodge Resort team very attentive. A few of the excellent features of this cabin: Every bedroom with a private bath. Two master suites. Two full kitchens. Two living areas. Downstairs bedrooms that open onto deck, two beautiful decks, also. Pool table and video game. A fully equipped cabin like this allows you to cook meals, have breakfast before daily adventures or pack a picnic for rides into the Great Smoky Mountain Park... that saves you real money. Cabin is close to Roaring Forks Motor Trail and Dollywood. Grocery stores available nearby without having to deal with downtown Pigeon Forge traffic. The cabin was clean and other than a couple very minor maintenance issues, we will definitely see if this cabin is available next time we are in the area. We stayed with a group of Australian friends who had never been to Smoky Mountais... they said this cabin was their favorite stay of our entire 6 week trip through Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi. We are already trying to schedule a large family gathering at this cabin in the Fall. Thank you for an excellent vacation stay.

We Didn't Want to Leave!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the Big Thunder Lodge for 3 nights. The photos on the Internet while beautiful do not give this cabin justice. It was absolutely beautiful. We had 10 guests and were more than comfortable. The view is awesome and the king suites on the main level are like honeymoon suites. Loved the 2 kitchens and the 2 living rooms. It also has 2 decks with plenty of chairs.The king suites on main level open up to the upper balcony and the 2 queen suites on the lower level open up to the lower deck. The resort staff were very accommodating and friendly. We did have an issue with the air conditioning on the lower level and they had to replace the motor will definitely be back. The only bad part of our stay is that we had to leave.

Fun with Friends

Big Thunder Lodge was perfect for our group. We were able to cook several great meals, enjoy the hot tub, watch movies, play cards and pool. Having the 2 kitchens available was great as we had lots of food and drink to serve 12 people. We will definitely come back to Big Thunder. We made a lot of memories with our friends. THe location of the lodge was convenient to get to Gatlinburg and in to Pigeon Forge.

Good friends disappointing stay

Over the years, I'm sorry to say, it is in the need of some TLC. The dishwasher was broken(we've had trouble with it the past few years).The door on the microwave didn't want to close. The bottom lock on the back door always stuck. The bottom sheets in one of the master's kept coming off. Old. The pillows on the king beds were standard and we're not very good. The bottom of the grill has rotted out. And the main fireplace kept going off and then after a few minute came back on. We notified management on some of these during our stay. We love this properity but it really needs some work.

I sat at my rental from 1:30-3 with no call and no one came to clean, the cabin was ready. Early checkin should be made into a real option, not just an offer they do not follow through on. Also it was very hard to get in touch with anyone at the office. We called and left voicemails from 1:30-2:45 with no answer or call back. The service from this company was very unsatisfactory. The cabin however was great! There were some issues, the fireplaces wouldn't all work, it looked as if the grill had never been cleaned and there were broken appliances and dead bugs all over, but otherwise a good cabin.

We had a group of 12 and everyone was sooooo amazed at how beautiful the cabin was and the location. We did have a few housekeeping and issues, but overall the stay was great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin made sense for 6 couples (12 adults) with 6 bedrooms/bathrooms and half baths on each floor. To have kitchens and washer/dryers on both floors as well made things very convenient. Everything worked properly and even when there was a busted pipe outside the cabin during our stay, maintenance was there in a timely fashion and fixed the problem immediately. Was a very enjoyable 3 night stay in the mountains.
