'Clean room and friendly staff . Lovely stay'

'Enjoyable stay at what is perhaps best described as a fantastic restaurant with rooms. The restaurant overlooks the water and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. However our room was landside, with only a view of Irsha Street. Although small, the room and facilities were excellent. Fresh milk in the fridge is always much appreciated by us tea drinkers.'

'Inchecken ging moeizaam. We moesten borg betalen terwijl de kamer vooraf betaald was. De borg zou verrekend worden met het eten. Maar bleek niet mogelijk te zijn. Waardoor we dat direct moest betalen in de restaurant/bar. Kamer/badkamer was schoon en groot. Er was geen airconditioning wat jammer was gezien dat heel erg warm was. Er was een ventilator op de kamer die hopeloos was. Er was genoeg keuze voor ontbijt. Personnel was vriendelijk.'

'A wonderful place to stay in Ilfracombe. Lorraine and Adrian were excellent hosts and very welcoming. My room and ensuite were great, with a view down over the town and towards the sea. Spotlessly clean. There is a new terrace area for seating outside and they have retained the Honesty Bar downstairs with a range of beers, ciders, wine and soft drinks. The breakfast area opens out on to the terrace and the Breakfast menu is truly amazing with a massive choice and ALL dietary needs catered for....

'Beautiful property, room, service, and a magical view over the charming village of Lynton and the Bristol Channel. Breakfast was amazing. Park your car up at the property and don’t drive the rest of the time. Walk down to village for great restaurants and shops (and up again to return…yes it’s a steep hill, but a lovely walk). Valley of Rocks/coastal path is 15 min walk. Walk down to Lynmouth, take cliff railway back up. This was our favorite stay on our trip through Devon and Cornwall.'

'Our 2nd stay at the Sailors Rest...Nice room with fantastic views & a huge king size bed... Great shower & mini fridge with fresh milk & water ...nice touch. Happy with our 1 night stay in Beautiful Appledore & hopefully will return to the Sailors Rest in the future.'
