Would only recommend if you are traveling in warm season and prioritize location while overlooking flaws. Only heat source is in the bedroom. The living area, kitchen and bathroom are not adequately heated. The shower is essentially in the corner of the bathroom with a curtain. Water will get all over the bathroom. Will need to use the ample towels provided. Getting on the toilet is also a tight squeeze.
I stayed here with two friends to celebrate my birthday. We had a fantastic time. The Cozy Nook is downtown so everything is within walking distance. The pullout couch was actually comfortable, which I find is rare! The only issue we had was it was very very cold. The only heater for the place is in the bedroom. We turned it up to 75 when we arrived, then went to dinner. When we got back, it was still freezing. We turned on the living room fan to hopefully help circulate the air from the heater. But it was still so cold that we turned on the oven to help heat the place! I think a mat to put shoes on would also help as the snow melted off our boots and made puddles in front of the bathroom and kitchen. I can tell this place would be perfect during the warmer months! I still rated it 5 stars as I did have a good time. But it took 5 hours for the place to heat up to a comfortable temperature. During winter months, the heater needs to be turned up before the guests arrive. It said 65 when we arrived but it felt colder than that. My friends and I were wearing two pairs of pants, knitted sweaters, and hats the first night due to the cold. That part was not fun at all. We ended up having to turn the heater up to 80 the whole time we were there for the apt to reach a comfortable temp (it felt like it was about 71 when set to 80)
Good for a short stay. The bathroom was incredibly tiny. The shower floor is the bathroom floor with a drain in the floor but no curb at the bathroom entrance, so when the drain stopped draining, the water flooded into the living area. Luckily I caught it quickly and told my husband to shut off the shower and threw a bunch of towels down. We reported it immediately and a plumber was sent out the same day to fix it. Great response! Also there was a rhythmic vibration sound in the bedroom like a pump of some sort that ran intermittently and made sleeping a challenge. Luckily it didnât run often. But the location was great!
This space was good for our long weekend getaway.
Bed was extremely comfortable. If you are looking for a place to crash for a night or traveling by day and need a place to rest and hang your stuff - this was a comfortable spot. Close to all the walkable areas of Saugatuck. Location was prime for a walk to the marina and see the Kalamazoo Bay or get a coffee at Uncommon Roasters. You are back off the Water St traffic and provides a quite night in (which we did several times).
Overall good value. A few minor deficiencies addressed directly to property managers and Iâm sure theyâll address for the next people that choose this location. Tub/shower may be in another unit but this one had a small stand up shower and close quarters for bathroom.
This property was perfect for usâclean, quiet, and comfortable. The location is outstanding. Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. Information from the managers was clear and concise. Questions we had were answered immediately and check-in was a breeze. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return.
This apartment is big enough for two people and very clean. Only the bathroom is very small, but you can live with that. The apartment is in the very center, but it is still pleasantly quiet. The architectural style is just like Saugatuck itself. Booking, complete information, billing, check-in, check-out, ... everything worked perfectly. We liked it a lot.
Great place to enjoy Saugatuck; walking distance to everything. Comfortable queen bed. Bathroom was a little small and shower in the corner was a little challenging, but overall a good experience
Great stay! Itâs very small, so it definitely worked with my two friends and I, but I wouldnât do more than that to fit comfortably. I also recommend bringing shower shoes because the bathroom is a wet room - it shows that in the photos but just as a reminder!
Beautiful home for our weekend stay with a location that is VERY IDEAL for those who plan to spend time walking between shops and restaurants in Saugatuck. Bed was extremely comfortable and made it easy to nap on the one rainy afternoon we experienced during our stay.
We fully endorse this is the best value for the money due to the location and quaint uniqueness of the property!
We stayed in Saugatuck to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, because this is where we had our honeymoon. Everything was perfect! Cozy Nook definitely was cozy and comfortable. Comfortable bed, loved having a full kitchen, location can't be beat! Would absolutely stay again.
Perfect location for a short getaway located in the heart if downtown Saugatuck. Steps from all the restaurants, bars, and shopping that everyone enjoys downtown. Communication, information, and instructions from Host was excellent, very organized. Space was sufficient as described, bed and pullout were very comfortable. Kitchen was appointed nicely, even had coffee and filters for the coffee maker. Plenty of towels for the bathroom. Bathroom was cramped but served its purpose. Shower was in the corner of the bathroom, a little different from most not having a stall or basin (just a wrap around shower curtain and drain in the floor), but again served its purpose for a weekend stay. We would stay again, cannot beat the location so close to the action and we were very comfortable.
Location was great! Couple of issues with propertyâŠ.only ac unit was in the bedroom, the bathroom door didnât latch closed and the shower was in the corner of bathroom, literally in the corner of the bathroom. Everything in the bathroom got wet when you took a shower.
