This is a gem of a hotel - the staff are all incredible as are the amenities, rooms, and food. They truly pay attention to the details and it shows! We can’t wait to visit again.

Positives WhatsApp messaging service for guests was so helpful and staff were quick to respond. The shuttle service was a brilliant idea for coming home after dinner as the climb is steep. The bed linen and pillows were so good and the bed was comfortable. The staff were polite and very helpful at all times. There were Ample fresh towels by the pool. Hotel is in a lovely location and pretty setting next to the castle in the old town with great views of the port from the pool. Free bootle of bubbles on arrival and fresh bottles of water provided everyday. Free dressing gowns and slippers. Aircon was excellent Without any noise.hotel was very clean Areas for improvement The inside facilities of the hotel (restaurant / bar) could be better utilised as very quiet. More healthy options on the lunch menu perhaps? The only salad was covered in dressing. A bin in the bedroom would be useful. Breakfast was very over priced at around €40 if you didn’t have it included. There was a more basic cheaper breakfast but there wasn’t much for the money.

This was our first time staying in Hostal Horizontal and to our suprise (we didnt excpect allot) it was a very descent and clean hotel, de room was clean, the beds were oke nothing special, the housekeeping made sure everday that the beds were made and the towels refreshed. It wasnt noisy. We didnt have breakfast or diner so thats the only thing we can't review. But if you are searching for a place to stay while partying make sure you book at Hostal Horizontal
