« This pub is one of our favourites! We stayed for a second time round on our way to Suffolk from Brittany. The food is superb, location and landscape stunning, accomodation clean and comfy. The staff is always smiling and friendly. What more can one possibly want? Hopefully, we'll be back! »

« Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. « Hôtel sympathique à la campagne. Le point fort, c'est le restaurant : très bons produits frais et bien présentés, et des prix tout à fait corrects. Les chambres sont simples mais le confort est correct. Il manque simplement des portes-manteaux dans la chambre et dans la salle de bain. »

« Food was excellent and well presented. Bed comfortable and clean. »

« Staff not very friendly (both on check in and check out). It seemed as if they would like to be anywhere except where they were then and there and they did not seem keen to help with anything. The walls are very thin and people speaking in the corridor sound like they are in your room. You can also hear everything outside. Did not have a good night's sleep and would not book to stay here again. »

« Stayed in the windmill for just one night after arriving from France after a long drive. What a place! Gorgeous old English pub with lots of places to smack your head and absolutely nothing is straight… the room itself is lovely and simple with a great bed and everything you could need. « Un pub-hotel très chaleureux à l'atmosphère conviviale, très ancien et bien décoré, avec aussi un grand feu ouvert et un personnel aux petits soins. »

« This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops. The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent. Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy) All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area »

« Très charmant, cocooning, original, un vrai coup de coeur! Des produits locaux pour le bain/douche/soins et linge de lit. Excellent petit déjeuner, personnel sympathique et arrangeant. Au calme à la campagne, très agréable et détente assurée. Terrasse sympa pour boire un verre, déjeuner/dîner. Parking privé. »

« A really lovely place to stay, a perfect quiet and very pretty little village. The pub owners and bar staff were very welcoming and made a wonderful breakfast, and we had dinner there one night too which was fab! »

« We stayed at The Doghouse Inn for two nights with my partner and our dog, and we had a great experience. Check-in was simple and quick. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed, and we felt really welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our dog was treated like a guest too, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would definitely come back. »
