'Nice spacious room, with beautiful beach'

'The air conditioning was great. The views were beautiful. Quiet at night but loud when you want it to be by going to the grille or pool. It was everything we wanted.'

'Air Conditioning was nice. House keeping came daily. Rooms were spacious but bathrooms are tiny, limited towels, staff was not helpful, beds were very hard, rooms flooded from rain storm was told to put luggage on bed. Never tried to do anything about it. Front desk was VERY slow. Rooms were not ready at 4. They had muffins and water daily. NOT worth the price.'

'The location is perfect for those who want to visit St. John while on vacation in St Thomas. The pools were great to swim in after long days at the beautiful beaches. Sapphire beach is very close by! We enjoyed the music while we chilled at the beach. Coki is also a short walk away. The water was like a swimming pool!! We visited St John on 3 occasions and the ferry ride from Red Hook was very convienient. The rooms were very nice and the bed was very comfortable.We will definitely be back! '

'Hotel is verouderd en heeft dringed onderhoud nodig, zwembad is klein en ook verouderd. Restaurant is goed eten ok. Geen lift dus met zware koffer een hele toer om boven te komen als je niet op de eerste verdieping zit. 2 nachten meer dan genoeg om hier te verblijven. Heeft 3 sterren maar 2 sterren zou meer dan genoeg zijn'

'Air conditioning was great and shower was always hot. It’s not your luxury hotel experience but for the location in town and the price it’s a phenomenal choice for a vacation on St Thomas. Staff was incredibly nice and it was nice they provide pool and beach towels. The included breakfast isn’t very substantial and the only microwave is in the common area. 'This is a great place and a great value. If I could change only one little thing it would be to get the water in the shower a little more hot; it’s not cold but not quite hot—a little over lukewarm. I’m sure this could be a quick fix from a maintenance engineer. There is a little road noise, as well, which you can’t help being that close to the main road. 'Breakfast was nice they give you coupons so for 3 people it was only $12.50. I dont know where your gunna go on the island that will cost you that for food for three. Very was nice staff was more than helpful. Rule to anyone traveling to St. Thomas make sure to eat before 9pm seems like the whole island closes for the night on weekdays. Getting a taxi could be a bit tough ( do all your traveling before 7pm) on some days maybe a 20-30min wait id recommend a rental car since your up in the...

'What a beautiful place to stay on St. John, a great location with outstanding views. The restaurant was wonderful, we had two outstanding dinners and enjoyed after dinner drinks at the bar each evening. Staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful! We are planning to return in 2027!'

'The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! '
