Ryokans in Hokuriku

'This was one of the most incredible experiences we had in Japan. The staff and service level are extraordinary. The 8 or 10 course meals at dinner and breakfast were an unbelievable experience. We traveled with young kids with varying degrees of adventurous eating and the staff was able to prepare dishes that were more western (mini sausages, fries, sunny side eggs). 'Staff and service were amazing but my room was a little run down. Even though it was a non smoking room, it had a faint smell of stale cigarette smoke which was making me nauseous. However, they brought me complimentary sandalwood incense and with the windows open it got better. The sandalwood helped me sleep and I got the best rest of my trip so far. Overall a nice stay and historic but could use some updating!'

'I love the Tanbo no Yu! I can tell that its being fixed up more everytime I come here! This time, really enjoyed the pure stream bath it was very warm and a comfortable place to chat with my husband. The food was delicious and healthy with many flavors and unlimited hokuriku rice! I definitely be back again!'
