Highland Lake Front Cottage

Lakeside Cottage remis à neuf et prêt pour que vous profitiez de l'été. 1 chambre et mezzanine pour dormir. Quai de bateau, pêche, baignade, profiter du lac et de Portland à proximité ne sont qu'un avant-goût de ce que cette escapade offrira. Ayez le sentiment de camper avec un bon goût de vivre à la maison pour ceux qui n'aiment pas le faire. Beaucoup de place pour les tentes si vous souhaitez rester à l'extérieur sur notre terrain de 1. 7 acres. Bateau à aubes et gilet de sauvetage fournis. Portland à 20 minutes pour en profiter.

Quiet getaway in Maine
Beautiful setting and comfortable cottage. We were there during hot spell and air conditioner did not keep up. That said, the beds were comfortable and the place was clean. There was a bit of an ant issue- hard to control that during that time of year. Would definitely go again- had a great time

Quiet and peaceful
This cabin was located in a nice, peaceful neighborhood for a great getaway. It was very clean. I will confirm residue is sap, not bird poop. The entire cabin slants, so users need to be steady on feet. The lake itself was great to swim in. Despite having listed both a pedal boat and kayak/canoe under amenities and in pictures, neither a kayak nor canoe exists. We specifically chose this location for a kayak and the swimming dock, but learned in the final renters agreement the dock is the neighbors and we were not to use it. Close to some good local restaurants and can drive to hikes and other attractions.

Cute rustic rental
The cottage was true to the listing it's not fancy, but has what you need at a very reasonable price. We enjoyed Highland Lake and the surrounding area. We brought kayaks and toured the whole lake.

We had a very nice stay and enjoyed both the cottage and property. It was a bit rainy, so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the fire pit area, but it looked great. There are a few places that could use some updates, but this is a true lake cottage, so it's really like elevated camping.

the scenery was great. we were unable to utilize the outdoor deck area much because of the amount of bird poop on the table, furniture and deck. this was actually one of the main reasons we picked this place because of the outside deck area. disappointed we couldn't use it. we tried cleaning it but it would not come off. we had to baby sit the toilet because it would not shut off and would run pump if you did not make sure tank was full. the fridge leaked a lot inside the bottom part of the fridge, had to keep a bowl to capture water. smelled very muggy. dock was unusable due to the amount of duck poop. no way to clean it. paddle boat leaked around the pedals. Zero privacy. needs some type of window coverings for nighttime. overall, pretty relaxing.

Weekend getaway for wedding
If you’re looking to wake up to a beautiful lake view in the morning, you won’t be disappointed. The sunrise breaking through the trees into the windows each morning was lovely. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the cabin so didn’t mind that there wasn’t an oven. The heater did a great job of taking off the chill. There was ample supply of water provided so we didn’t need to worry about usage. Extra TP in bathroom and a roll of paper towels was appreciated. We watched tv at night and had great reception. The place is rustic and I expected that. It’s old and a bit wonky—sloped floors, toilet with shims underneath.. Cleanliness is of high importance and this is why I gave a 3 star rating. The beds were all nice—but the living room furniture is very old and stained. We covered the couch with a bedspread so we could sit on it. I understand that being located in the woods creates a mess—but the table and all the outdoor seats were so covered in bird poop that it was impossible to sit on. Great location and scenery—-but needs furniture upgrade to really enjoy it.

Adorable little cottage on the lake
Clean, cozy, quiet, tucked in the woods, on a lake. Feels like you're in nature, away from the sounds of the city, but actually not too far from anything you might need. The calls of the loons at night were magnificent. Not too far a drive from Portland and Old Orchard Beach.

Wet incline makes for many falls
The stay was great. The one pit fall was the stairs that includes a flat incline that doesn’t have any type of slip resistant upgrade and with wet weather it was a recipe for falls.

Great getaway
Perfect location for a getaway. The property had everything you need and was very comfortable for a family of 4. Lake is beautiful, lot is big and very quiet, and the location is very close to grocery stores, restaurants, and sightseeing. Very short drive to Portland and we were even able to get food delivered one night. Would definitely stay again.
