« the expansive ocean + wine glasses photo is highly misleading. any view of the ocean is peek a boo, and most of the property stares at a street and hedge that obstructs view of water. property: furniture, carpet, interior and amenities are old outdated and tired. on an 80+ degree day the air conditioning failed and they required us to keep it turned off. so hot impossible to sleep, and when approached about it the front desk worker said that they might be able to deduct 10%. totally over priced...

« The Hideaway was absolutely blissful. We literally spent hours sitting in comfortable chairs and enjoying the views of Widbey Island just across the straight. It was tranquil beyond belief. The accommodations itself were superb, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Communication with the owner was seamless and pleasant. We very much wish to find opportunities to stay at the hideaway in the future--the entire experience was joy incarnate :-). »
