'We stayed 6 Nights and found a cottage with very modern furniture, all you Need in the kitchen, own BBQ Grill Outside including Picnic Area. Allthough Its in the countryside, with a lot of nature around (trees, River, sheep, Cattle, birds and Flowers- you have a stabile wifi Connection. So What ever you seek- you are able to totally relax and disconnect or connect via the net. The Host family is Nice and live also on the ground in case you Need anything. Galloway Forest Park is nearby with walks...

'Joanna was a wonderful host who made us feel like we were at home away from home. The property is lovely and peaceful, perfect for a quiet Christmas. The house was immaculate and well stocked with everything you could need! The wood burner in the livingroom made for a really cosy atmosphere. We will definitely be back again! '

'Lovely clean caravan on a quiet very well kept site. Lots to see and do around the area, we had a fantastic 3 night stay. Lounge area spacious and double bed very comfy. Only thing I would say is that the twin beds are small my teenagers were too big to get comfy, would be OK for younger children.'

'House is very well designed and furnished to a very high standard and us only a 10 minute walk from the village and 5 minute walk to the golf course. The views from the decking area are beautiful. We were met by our host Kate who could not have been more helpful. Lots of beautiful walks with breath taking scenery.'

'Great spot for exploring Galloway. Hot tub overlooking the forest, and walks starting straight from the cabin. Wildlife all around. Note that it is attached to another cabin & a farm, so it's not isolated - but we did feel like we had privacy. Otherwise a washing machine could be a good addition. Dave & Becky were very helpful, we'd definitely come back!'

'The house was perfect for our family of 7, with four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All rooms were a good size with a large kitchen dinner. The bonus for us with two teenage grandchildren was the pool table and table tennis. Would go back anytime.'

'Really away from it all location which made travel a bit longer but so worthwhile. Large comfortable warm lodge with loads of stuff for young kids, masses of space inside and out and brilliant old style bedrooms. Lovely, helpful available onsite housekeepers. Great trip, totally worth the drive.'

'Graham, our host, has built the perfect holiday cottage. Well planned, amazingly well equiped. This is by far the best self catering property that we've ever stayed in, and they've been many in New Zealand, France, Italy, Britain and the Scotland. The amount of wildlife in the area is wonderful. An added bonus, is the house is close to everywhere you'd want to visit but also out of traffic and flight paths.'
