'I loved the quiet, the charm & character of the 1940s building, the collection of antique medical objets & historic local photos. It was cosy and a comfortable warmth thanks to the central radiator heating throughout. I was definitely not too hot in my room. Very clean & all the facilities that I needed - access to a large freezer & a bath was a welcome added bonus also. Lovely grounds. 'It was a great little getaway, and we could imagine in summer it would be even nicer being able to enjoy the outdoor picnic spots by the pond. We arrived late in the day and were quite peckish, so enjoying a beautiful fresh loaf of bread, butter and cheese that greeted us when we arrived was lovely - along with a bottle of wine for later and a ginger beer for our young one.
