« Hikers Inn is conveniently located to eating/shopping. Everything is within walking distance. Stephen (our host) was friendly, easy to talk to and a wealth of information about the history of the area. The Inn was safe, had hot showers and beds were comfortable. « Mountain camping without all the hassel!!! We decided on a last minute weekend getaway to the mountains and this 5th Wheel was a great place to call "home" for a few days! The camper was large enough for my wife, 2 teenagers, 2 Aussie pups, and myself to not be cramped! The camper is in pristine condition with everything you could need amenities wise. « We just stayed for a quick weekend, but the property was excellent. I have stayed at other places in similar situations, but this was by far my best experience. Angela, the property manager/owner greeted us shortly after we arrived and gave us a quick overview of the property. Excellent customer service. And then just left us to enjoy ourselves. But was easily contacted if needed. The property was clean, comfortable and fit our needs perfectly. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay. »

« The house and the property are nice and secluded, which is what we were looking for in a place. There was a hill behind the house that allowed the children to go sledding, and they had a blast. The appliances are older, but everything worked. Perfect for what we needed. My reason for not giving 5 stars is because the house was not cleaned prior to our arrival and there was no response from the owners when addressed with the property company. « We are familiar with the area as we have been coming to Eagle Nest and Idlewild since I was a child. We were excited to find such a great place in Eagle Nest. A perfect spot to see the July 4th parade line up and got to watch the fireworks from the front lawn. Hope to rent the place again. »
