'Beautiful log home. The view of the lake couldn’t be better. Be aware that there are many, many steps to the water, but they are not steep. We are over 70 years old and were able to handle them, although we can feel it in our calves today. It was a plus to have the electric hot water pot. My husband likes his coffee in the morning, but I prefer tea. Perfect for us!'

'Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks.'
