« As my son said when I sent him a photo from the deck, “Speaking as a lake scientist, I can say with certainty that (that) is a very pretty lake.” He’s right. Nice lake with a nice lake home. « We loved our stay at the Jaybird Treehouse! It was well maintained, clean, and super cute. The shower was amazing, the beds were super comfortable, and our teenager and their friend loved the trap door and "bunker" under the rest of the treehouse. The ice cream maker was such a nice touch! A couple things that I feel I should note... 1) the walk down to the lake is fairly steep, and is a boardwalk rather than stairs. For us it was ok, but if we had my elderly mother with us, she would not have...

« We stayed at this cabin for the April 2024 solar eclipse. Don and Kate were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to use their fire pit and yard. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. It’s in a great location on a hill overlooking Lake of Egypt and a quick drive into Marion, IL. »
