'Lovely rooms ( I stayed in two because my work trip was unexpectedly extended) with stylish decor and great views. Would definitely stay again! Staff was helpful and responsive. They made a billing error but corrected it right away once I inquired. Easy to walk to bijou restaurants and a corner market. 10-12 min walk to the subway. '

Wij hadden een ruime en schone kamer op de 5de verdieping met uitzicht over de wijk. Hotel niet gehorig. Superfijne (harde) bedden, goede kussens. Een stille airco, die perfect werkt. Raam kan evt stukje open, voor een keer frisse lucht. Goed verduisterende gordijnen. Veel stopcontacten, grote tv met veel zenders, koelkastje, magnetron,...
'Perfect hotel, zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Mooie, ruime en schone kamers. Prima bed en douche. Locatie is iets minder maar door de service van het hotel (zij brengen/halen je op locaties binnen 2 km.) Acceptabel.'

'I liked very much the hotel. The employees from the reception in evening very attent. Rooms are clean, big, confortable. The metro station is some steps from the hotel. There are a lot places to eat near the hotel,shops, supermarkts etc.'
'The hotel had heaps of character! I absolutely adored the room that I stayed in. You could very walk to the subway and be in Manhattan within a few minutes! I had forgotten to pack soap and shampoo, but it was no matter - the shampoo and amenities at The Box House were wonderful to use. If you are having an overnight, or an extended stay in NYC. Keep The Box House on your radar!'

"Hotel and staff are absolutely fantastic. Very helpfull , friendly en warm welcome. The only thing about the area if you walk to and from the nearest metro station you have to go through a projects neigborhood. Where lot of people who live there specially in the evening are smoking weed, hanging arround. They dont bother you if you just mind your business. But i think if you are a woman alone it could feel unsave. "

Rooftop has a great view, but first you need to get thru the “I do this for so long, we don’t need guests, leave your camera in your room” door persoon. They include tip even on drinks at the bar… new for me in NYC.
