House is very worn and smelled strongly of must. The beds in the room with the bunks had sand in the sheets (as if they weren't washed). The king beds were okay, but the room off the kitchen is visibly sloped (and you can feel it when you walk across the room), so we rolled a bit in the bed. There were numerous spiders inside the house, some of which were very large. There was quite a large bee presence as well (outside the house). The hot tub was pretty questionable--enough so that we didn't use it. There was visible mold in both showers. We attempted to contact the host company due to there being no propane for the BBQ, but never heard back. There was little dish soap and we ran out cleaning dishes. Couches were comfy and seemed clean enough, floors seemed clean. Electrical matches age of house and appears to have had some questionable DIY work (and several outlets didn't work). Decor is charming rustic. Lots of windows opened allowing a nice breeze.

Great location, quaint home

Close to the beach and great size for our family, we were pleasantly surprised with how nice the place was after reading some of the former reviews. The home was decently clean but I noticed dust mites under the beds, which may have contributed to some allergies a couple of us were having, as well as dog hair on the carpet. Overall the place was good and we all agreed we definitely be back again!

I will return

We stayed with our three children and six grandchildren. It was a perfect place for all of us. It has a great location right in town. How to set up perfectly. It could have been cleaner oven and refrigerator were not clean.

Half good/half disappointment

The home was basically as described and seemed to have most everything we needed. It was very quiet and peaceful. The bad came to the hot tub and the filthy filter. I asked for help and was told if the filter was dirty that means it was doing its job. As a previous hot tub owner who rinsed the filter on a regular basis, I believe the filter hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I specifically looked for a location with a hot tub, I feel it was wasted money.I also reached out on this site before posting this to give VRBO and the management time to respond.

Old house fixed up. Uneven floors, Smelly stuff plugged in wall. Not good for fragrance sensitive people. Tp and towel bars falling off the wall. Hit my head on the cabinet corner sticking out in the bathroom. Shelf in island kept falling down. Dining table too big for the room.

Good time

The location was great. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub wasn't clean, however the property manager came out to take care of it. There is one bedroom that really smells musty even though they have an air purifier in it. TV worked great, fireplace made it cozy and nice.

Nothing fancy but it was comfortable

The beds are comfy and there's plenty of space. The hot tub was heavenly and the house is conveniently located, but is oddly located between hotels. Could have been cleaner. Overall it was good.

Great logistics annoying shortfalls

We booked this property because it was dog friendly, had enough beds and space and a good layout for our reactive dog The cable did not work on 2 of 3 tvs. I messaged with the property manager on this but it wasn’t resolved. There was an unpleasant smell in two of the bedrooms. We ended i up p buying candles and room spray for that. The kitchen had a few things too. The oven was too dirty to use and the dishes were wet. We had to clean them to feel safe using them. And the keurig didn’t work either. It was a nice time with family but we probably won’t select this property again.

Family vacation fun!

We chose this property because of the proximity to the beach and shopping. It was big enough for my large family. The kids loved the basketball hoop in the driveway. Unfortunately there was a musty smell throughout the house. The drawers in the kitchen were stiff and very squeaky. The knives we dull so even cutting tomatoes was like sawing wood. The grill was so dirty we bought a cheap scrub brush just to clean it so we could grill. This home fell short of our expectations.

Musty and old

I just stayed at this property in ocean shores. I was extremely disappointed in the condition of the home. The back bedroom has so much moisture it smells horrible. So much so our guests could not stay in there. The hot tub water was bright green and unusable. The decor was old and dirty including holes in the furniture. Lastly, as a dog friendly property it would be helpful to warn the guests of the plant with goat heads growing all over the front lawn producing painful stickers in my kids and dogs feet. I’d suggest a very thorough cleaning of the whole property before renting as well as fixing the above issues.

Ocean shores disappointment

The property did have 4 bedrooms, a deck and hot tub. But everything fell short. The bedrooms were all musty, the floors all uneven which made huge gaps at top or bottom of doors. All the throw pillows on the couch were dingy and the bedding we were not sure if it had been washed. Very disappointing. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Cozy and Comfortable

My own family of six stayed here with my mom, sister and her husband and their two dogs for a few rainy days, and our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The house accommodated all of us very comfortably and it was pleasant even staying in, playing games, cooking and spending time together. The location has great access to the beach and the town. Our property manager was easy to contact and helped with any issues we had. We'd love to stay here again!
