Brown Pelican is a 7 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom Outer Banks vacation rental located on the oceanfront in Nags Head. This Nags Head vacation rental is located near great local attractions like mini-golf, go-karts, and shopping. Plus, must-see attractions like Jennette's Pier and the North Carolina Aquarium are a short drive away as well. At Brown Pelican, you'll be able to experience endless beach days as this home is located directly on the oceanfront. Brown Pelican also offers a private pool complete with poolside seating.

Inside, you'll find a spacious living area with plenty of seating and a flat-screen TV for watching your favorite show or movie as a family. The living area also grants you access to the sun deck where you can watch stunning OBX sunrises from the comfort of your own home. Thanksgiving at Brown Pelican

This property is in a great location and at one time was probably beautiful. However, it needs some serious work. There is mold on the ceiling downstairs on the first floor. The deck is soft right at the entrance on the third floor. There is rust on pretty much everything including floor registers, fixtures, windows, etc. Seriously lacking in cookware, and what was there was pretty poor. Most serious was a glider that is in the upstairs living room that is broken. It caused my sister to almost fall out forward and caused my 89 year old father to fall backward and hit his head on the wall. The fireplace was not working either which was one of the main draws to this property given the time of year we were going. Lights under the deck outside did not work and were filled with water causing an electrical hazard. Unless there are some major improvements, I would not rent this property again. I strongly feel that this property was materially misrepresented in the pictures placed on the VRBO website, and that these defects and problems were known and not disclosed.

Nice home

The property could use some upgrades! The beach walk way is very hard to get to beach the board walk at the end by beach is completely buried in sand which makes it very hard to walk through! Over all it’s a nice place comfortable!

Beautiful view of the ocean

The home is in a beautiful location. The home could benefit from some general maintenance throughout including repair to screens as well as a deep cleaning including carpets. The access to the beach is very challenging when carrying beach equipment.

Beautiful area but the the house was filthy

We loved the outer banks. We loved the location of the house and we loved the beach. However the house was filthy. I hate to write this without giving the property company a chance to fix the wrong. I thought maybe they would look at what I wrote and the photos attached and they would be embarrassed and try to make it right with me. However when I explained our issues with the house and even sent photos to give them a chance to respond accordingly. Their response was that they would pass on my feedback to the maintenance company and house cleaners. We will be back to the outer banks but won’t ever stay in one of this companies homes.
