« This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime,...

« The Marlborough is a pub with tasty food and about five rooms for overnight stays. The staff is outstanding and does everything possible to be helpful. It is on a central street of a very small town, so it can be a bit noisy during the day and early evening, but is quiet at night. The rooms have nice versions of all the basics, including a good bed and excellent shower. There are few extra amenities beyond the room and pub, although the breakfast was very good. « Visually the place makes a very good impact. Dinner, the food was excellent as were the staff. Breakfast … we’d booked it at check in.
